The Mission Statement of the WSAC is to help meet the physical, emotional, social, nutritional, and educational needs for area senior citizens.

We could all write a book about what Christmas means to us. But could we say what it means to others? Not too long ago, probably so. The holidays were simpler and less complicated. Now, there’s so much hustle and bustle it’s hard to tell one holiday from another. I bet, if we all sat down to discuss it, we’d be amazed at how each person has adopted new traditions or activities. We’re farther apart as families, religious services are different and my word, how the feasts have changed. Tamales are our new holiday favorite! No matter what has changed in your life or the ones around you, remember the true meaning of the holiday. Good will towards everyone and peace on earth. We certainly remember that here at the center. So, while you’re here during the holidays, rest assured nothing will change. You’re always welcome and always invited to participate (Unless you’re on the Santa’s Naughty List!). This year will be a little different, we will not be doing the MOW Routes for delivery. MOW has created “Holiday Bags” for their clients, all items must be on the list, not wrapped in a reusable 13 x 16 holiday gift bag all items will be checked by MOW staff prior to delivery. The Senior Center will be a drop off for the MOW Holiday bags starting November 28th thru December 12th. The Senior Center will be giving ONLY to local Nursing/Assisted Living Facilities this year. The Senior Center will be putting up the Angel Tree the first week of November, the Angels will have the approved patient gift items written on them all gifts must be for “EITHER” (male or female).

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE GRYPHONS TOY RUN Sunday, December 11 at 9:00 AM at the Ennis SOKOL HALL. Sign up in the office. WHO LIKES CONTESTS? GET READY, BECAUSE WE HAVE TWO FUN CONTESTS COMING UP The first one is a PUZZLE CONTEST. Thursday, December 15, at 12:30 PM. There will be a free puzzle and a prize for the fastest puzzle maker. The second one is an UGLY SWEATER CONTEST. Wednesday, December 21. Fun, photos and prizes for the ugliest, funniest and warmest.

Lunch is $5.00 All Members MUST sign up for lunch the day BEFORE, so we know how much food to prepare. Names on the printed list will be served first. Please see Debbie in the office if you cannot afford lunch. MENU Substitution are DUE to Vendor Availability.
