4-Year-Old Kindergarten 4K THE SAGES WAY! Mrs. Bruene’s 4K students at SAGES have been busy exploring all thing COLD! They worked on letter recognition with an indoor “snowball” fight and then practiced writing letters in their journals. They built snowflakes with different materials, even marshmallows! A favorite day was using teamwork to roll the ball around and make ice cream. Everyone ate it right up!

iReady Testing is Underway! Meadow View Primary Kindergarteners worked hard on the reading section of the iReady this week, and will be tackling the math section next week! Good luck, Kinders! You'll do great!

"Cultivating Inquiry. Growing Minds. Walls Optional." Earlier in January, SAGES kindergartners noticed that something was wrong with one of the vermicomposting bins. The worms were crawling up the sides of the bin! The kindergartners learned that worms will only do that when there is something not quite right with the bedding.

They worked with Mrs. Pokorny and Mrs. Panzer to create a new bin and bed for the worms. We decided it kind of looks like a Worm Hotel with lots of floors. The kinders giggled and smiled ear to ear while they drilled new holes in the bin for the worms to crawl up and get to the food.

Most of them loved getting their hands (arms) dirty to mix up the bedding. Then we added the new bin, bedding, and food to the top bin in hopes the worms will crawl up and find it.

6th Grade Readers' Theatre 6th graders gathered in the Lecture Hall to watch seven classmates perform a Body Systems presentation to better inform them about the function of the major body systems. Each participant used Claim/Evidence/Reasoning to defend that their system was the best one. Thank you to Mrs. Kohlmann for organizing this event.

Rock River students met with State Senator Dan Feyen and State Representative Michael Schraaa!

Waupun Area Junior/Senior High School Students in Computer Applications recently tested to earn their Microsoft Office Specialist certification in Microsoft Word 2016. The following students passed their test and earned this certification: Haley Dixon, Alex Fischer, Madelynn Bishop, Kayley Medema, Ember Wylesky, and Lucas Root.
