INDIA EXPORTS TOBACCO TO OTHER COUNTRIES Between January and September 2017, India exported $461 million worth of tobacco, compared to $671 million in 2016. More than 80 nations around the world are recipients of Indian tobacco exports. Between 2012 and 2016, Indian tobacco exports decreased by 4% in terms of value and 3% in terms of quantity. In terms of value, it will rise by 5% from 2015 to 2016. India's tobacco has been exported to the largest foreign markets in Belgium, Russia, Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and Nepal. TOBACCO BOARD OF INDIA The Tobacco Board of India control production, promote overseas marketing, and supply and demand imbalances. In 1975, the board replaced the Tobacco Export Promotion Council. It emphasizes the growth of the Indian Tobacco Industry and tobacco generally. The board continuously assesses the domestic and international tobacco market. Additionally, it ensures that growers receive a fair price for their work while minimizing significant swings in commodity prices.
