Vertical stabilizer – open or remove plates 233, 234, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239, 240, 243, 292, 294, 295 and 304.

Horizontal stabilizer and elevator upper surface – open or remove plates 241, 242, 293, 305 and 306.

3.

Horizontal stabilizer lower surface – open or remove plates 244, 245, 246, 247, 248, 249, 252, 267, 268, 308, 309, 310 and 311.

Note: 4.

It is only necessary to remove the horizontal and vertical stabilizer leading edge when performing this inspection in conjunction with C-4.

Remove leading edges from horizontal and vertical stabilizers.

Note:

Plates with screws, use caution when removing screws to prevent stripping the screw heads. Place screws in a bag and attach to access plate. Turn over small plates and attach to aircraft with one or two screws. Identify large plates and place on parts rack. Panels with snaps or camlocs will be identified and placed on rack.

Note:

If it is necessary to drill off screw heads, remove screw shank from nut after plate or fairing is removed.
