Story Transcript

My husband and I started Camp Victory because we had two very different boys; one sporty and one techy, and we did not have the job flexibility to drive them around to different summer camps. We wanted a place for them to feel safe and make friends, but also participate in diverse activities that left them exhausted at the end of the day = ) The Camp Victory experience was birthed in a converted Bank of America six years ago. We started with less than 10 campers (2 of them were mine). But we had the same model that we have now, impact kids through sports and education. We use our rotating stations of movement and outdoor activities, to more cognitive infused activities like STEAM to engage campers daily. What humbles me daily are the families that keep coming back, year after year. To this day some of those inaugural campers are now high schoolers, coaching the young campers that they used to be. It is bittersweet. Today, Camp Victory is in five locations: Miami, Orlando, Viera, West Melbourne, and Merritt Island. Next year, we will launch Camp Victory Des Moines, IA. We will impact over 750 families. We are excited to do life and make memories with your little ones. As always, we appreciate your continued support… See you in the summer! our history

Positive comments

Victory Kid Sports was founded in 2015 by Dr. Stanley, MA, DMin, and Dr. Melissa Patton, MA, EdD. Both retired Division I track athletes, the vision was to develop a program in their Central Florida community that impacted children through sports and education.

I'm very happy I found Victory for summer camp this year. All of the instructors do so well with the kids. They have a field trip planned every week. My son looked forward to going to Camp Victory every day. Thank you to the entire staff for offering such a wonderful program!!! We will definitely be back next year. -Chelsea

While developing Victory Kid Sports, the couple realized that sports could be used as a vehicle to begin meaningful conversations with children within their program. Since 2015, the Pattons have established a national brand that is continuously adding locations and programming to meet families where they are.

My son has become more extroverted, uses his words more and more socially adept since being a part of this camp. The coaches have all been amazing and show some serious patience, understanding and tools to assist our journey. Thank you to all of you! -Angela My son is a Victory Scholar, where he participated in 5 sessions throughout the school year learning how to get better prepared for college and multitask while in middle school. He is now a Junior Coach, and he cannot wait. And I like that even though he is 12 and could stay home by himself and play video games, he is doing something productive while hanging out with other kids his age. He is learning how to volunteer while being a camper on field trip days. -Heather
