ART After reading Esio Trot, we were inspired to draw tortoises. We created some fabulous sketches.

SPEAKING AND LISTENING We did some excellent presentations about the journey of chocolate and showed that we have learnt so much!

LITERACY
After reading the story of the Enormous Crocodile and retelling it, we made our own videos about the story.

DRAMA
We created some AMAZING performances of some of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and performed to the rest of the school.

P.S.H.E.
We thought about what dreams we had, to make the world a better place. We hope that one day they will come true, to counteract all of the terrible ‘Trogglehumpers’.

ART After looking at The B.F.G. and how he caught dreams, we made our own dreamcatchers. We carefully wove wool over willow circles. Some of us managed to do the proper dreamcatcher stitch.

After reading parts of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we imagined we were characters from the story and wrote letters to Mr Wonka.

We learnt about the journey of chocolate from pod to product. We discovered the climates needed for cacao trees to grow and much more!

We learnt about the history of chocolate, including how cocoa beans were discovered by various explorers and how the Aztecs and Mayans prized the beans.
