...means, every penny is important for the construction of Maa Kali temple.!! Dear friends It is a matter of immense pleasure to unveil 1st edition of MatriPeeth e-Newsletter. The objective behind publishing this enewsletter is to update members, friends, and the public about the developments taking place in Matri-Peeth, inside and outside. After the very successful Durga Puja & Kali Puja in 2021, MatriPeeth has been able to conduct a free and fair election in April 2022. In effect, the Managing Committee for 2022–24 for a term of two years has come into existence, and since then, it has been working very efficiently. Being the Chief Election Commissioner, it was my utmost duty to conduct the election in free and fair manner, and for that, I thank my teammates in election commission. After managing the committee election, Matri-Peeth celebrated Poila Boishakh, Rabindra Jayanti, Independence Day, Durga Puja and Kali Puja this year; all were successfully accomplished. I congratulate the team Matri-Peeth for all the above successful events. With Maa Kali's blessing, Matri-Peeth has obtained all of the necessary registrations that will greatly assist it in raising donations for building the Kali Temple; particularly important are Sections 80G and 12A of the Income Tax Act of 1961. CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE Let me inform you of the most important aspects of financial management and the organization's bill-clearing system. Our finance team is working very hard to save every single penny for Matri-Peeth. Our finance team is burning its time, energy, and vast experience to save every single paisa.!! A very important process to note in Matri-Peeth, there are 3-three layers of checks & balances for bills processing & payment system ... first ... Treasurer & Joint-Treasurer process the bills in terms of agreements, quantity, rates etc., fixed at the beginning of the negotiation with the vendors... then bills come to 2nd layer... President or Gen-Secretary… the same are again checked in all respects, and then finally, it comes to the Chairman for final approval and further payment. In this system, the Chairman alone can't even make a single penny payment of his own... this is the beauty of Matri-Peeth for handling financial matters, and this increases the confidence level of the donors in Matri-Peeth in financial matters, for sure.!! At the same time, every genuine payment is released instantly, which is as per the terms of the initial agreements. In Matri-Peeth, there is no "my vendor or your vendor" concept. Here, all vendors and parties are treated equally; no one is given any preference. In addition, almost 95% of the payments are made through bank transfers. Further, to add, Matri-Peeth does not accept any donations in cash except through donation box. So, Dear Members-Donors, please be rest assured that your every single paisa is in safe hands in Matri-Peeth.!! Now, Matri-Peeth is geared up for philanthropic works, which will be seen on the ground soonest while making Ma Kali Temple in Greater Noida West is the prime agenda, we are working on the same, simultaneously. Under the blessings of Ma Durga Amit Sengupta Chairman

Dear Members, Well Wishers and Friends, I am pleased to welcome you all to the Matri Peeth (Greater Noida West) Kalibari Society. We kept a low profile during the last two years of the COVID pandemic, but this year we organised a number of activities, such as a blood donation camp, online Bangla learning, and festivals such as Poila Baisakh, Jamai Shashti (online), Independence Day, Kali Puja, and the Grand 7 Days Durga Puja, with attractive stalls, a Kidz-Entertainment Zone, various competitions, and various cultural events. Devotees and residents came from Greater Noida-West, NoidaGhaziabad, and all across Delhi. Many visited us both for the scrumptious bhog and enjoyable cultural entertainment we held each evening. Your commitment to celebrating and joining in our festivals with brightly coloured outfits, devotion in prayers, and participation in all the rituals, holy mantras, and music, turned our puja mandap into a holy temple, creating an amazing, vibrant environment for all. We have an excellent managing committee and board of trustees, as well as many passionate and dedicated volunteers who have whole-hearted worked in the past and will continue the great work of this organisation as they have always done with sheer dedication and determination. There are several Kali temples spread across the land of Birbhum. The number of awakened temples among them is not small. One such temple is the Gujjha Kali temple. Gujjha Kali temple is located at Akalipur in Nalhati, Birbhum. This area is known as the birthplace of Maharaja Nanda Kumar. According to popular belief, Maharaja Nanda Kumar (মহা রা জ নন্দকুমা র) himself founded this Gujjha Kali temple. The form of the goddess here is a little different! Here the goddess is seen seated on the serpent altar (সর্পবে দী ) on the Panchamundi seat (পঞ্চমুন্ডি র আসন) in the sanctum sanctorum (গর্ভগৃহ) of the temple, dressed in the mantle of a serpent. There is a lot of history with this goddess idol made of touchstone / hard stone(কষ্টি পা থর). It is said that Jarasandha dreamed of this goddess idol and worshipped it regularly in the underworld (পা তা ললো ক). Years later, after his death, Rani Ahalya Bai found this statue while mining. Later, she gifted this idol to Chait Singh. Later, Nanda Kumar got the commandment in his dream (স্বপ্না দে শ) after ascending to the post of Maharaj. Therefore, Maharaja Nanda Kumar established the Gujjha Kali temple in Akalipur. Awakened Goddess (জা গ্রত দে বী ) Gujjha Kali (গুহ্য কা লী ) - The history will definitely surprise you too

Among the residents of Birbhum, there are multiple opinions about this temple. To them, this goddess, Gujjha Kali, doesn’t turn anyone away empty-handed. This temple of the goddess Gujjha Kali is made of brick and is south-facing. There are paths to circumambulate (প্রদক্ষি ণ) around the sanctum sanctorum (গর্ভগৃহ) of the temple. There are three entrances to the temple, which are made of stone. During the construction of this temple, there was a crack in the wall. Later, when initiatives were taken to repair it, the goddess appeared in a dream and instructed that no repair work was needed in the temple. Two fissures (ফা টল) are still visible on the north-east side of the temple as per the commandment (আদে শ) of the goddess. During Kali Puja, devotees come from far and wide to worship Gujjha Kali every year. The goddess is worshipped in grand style on the night of the new moon (অমবস্যা র). जयन्ती मङ्गला का ली भद्रका ली कपा लि नी । दुर्गा क्षमा शि वा धा त्री स्वा हा स्वधा नमो ऽस्तु ते।। Maa Kali is the aradhya devi of Bengal. Goddess Kali is the divine protector of mankind, destroys all evil forces and is a celebration of darkness and destruction. Kali Bari is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Kali and the centre for Bengali culture, warmth oozes from the entire ambience once you enter any of these temple premises. The holy vibes of these temples make you feel positive from inside. The most beautiful sight is the evening Aarti and prayers! The site of devotees getting immersed in the holy verses chanted by the Kali Bari temple priests is another sight to witness. Devotees can sit for hours here absorbing the heavenly vibe. It is believed that the goddess Kali is looking after people who worship her with full faith and deep dedication. People can also seek the blessings of her in the forms of Ma Tara, Ma Rudraani, and Ma Shyama Kali. Although people can offer their prayers at Kali Bari Temple at any time of the year, visiting it during Kartik Amavasya which falls in the month of October/November and on the auspicious occasion of Diwali or Kali Puja is usually considered best, since there are huge celebrations at the temple during midnight as an intense invocation to the fearsome goddess and to celebrate the spiritual progress and material prosperity. Many prefer chanting or meditating here to contemplate issues they are facing as they seek power and energy from Goddess Kali to face and fight them. Maa Kali-the Aradhya Devi of Bengal
