December 22 -January 10 Holiday break Have a Great Holiday break!!!
Keep it moving How can you be active during Winter break? I could give you so many answers to this question, but let me give you just a few. Some might be obvious and some not so much. While you are out shopping get your parents to park as far out as possible so you get more walking in (please be safe). Make everything a game, when you are at home can you hop on one foot all the way to the bathroom, who can stand on one foot the longest, who can do the longest plank, the most sit ups, push ups? Can you do stretches through a whole tv show, can you keep a balloon from touching the ground? Play Simon with your family with exercise or stretches. Also, there are so many exercise videos on YouTube or other streaming platforms that you can follow along with. Can you go a whole day without electronics? You’d be amazed what fun things you come up with when you aren’t entertained by electronics.Maybe make a friendly wager with a friend or family member to see who can get the most steps in or who can jump rope the longest? When you make moving fun or competitive it’s so much easier to stay motivated. What kind of fun ways can you come up with to not only keep yourself motivated but maybe even friends and family too. I hope you have a healthy, happy, safe holiday! Stay active! By: Brandi Wilson
