If you come to Tunja, you ought to visit San Agustin. It is a historical place located near the Bolivar’s square and in front of Parque Pinzón. It was first a prison, then it became a convent and currently, it is a library.
Tunja is welcoming, quiet and a bit cold. It has many touristic places including The Founder's House, Convent and Chapel of Santa Clara (built in the sixteenth century) the Church of San Ignacio, the Cathedral, the Church of San Francisco. We can also visit places like Plaza Real, Centro Norte and Unicentro which are shopping centers. Near Tunja, tourists can visit the Boyacá’s bridge which is famous because of the battles that took place there.
