And Now… the Final BackPack Reveal! You’ve read about six of our eight Anne e Wynn Elementary School BackPackers. Want to learn about our last two superstars? Here you go.
Child #7 is a 5th grade girl who is a good student and loves helping others. She speaks Spanish and occasionally helps the teachers translate! She is an amazing big sister and cousin. She loves spending Ɵme with her mom and with her family. She enjoys reading. Child #8 is a 2nd grade girl who is full of spunk. She has an infecƟous smile and loves to parƟcipate in class. She likes helping her teacher and other students. She is great at remembering things! Now that you’ve been introduced to these precious children, we ask that you con nue to pray for them and for the success of the BackPack Program. Your prayers and generosity bless these kids with food that they otherwise might not have.
If a child can’t eat, a child can’t learn. Thank you for making these BackPack kids a priority in your prayers and charitable giving!

Today! MORE IS NEVER ENOUGH Habakkuk is a complainer and he has lots to complain about. He sees what we still see in the world today: violence, misery, destruction, strife, discord. God’s response is not to intervene or to explain. God tells Habakkuk to describe, to imagine a world beyond the violence, misery, destruction, strife, and discord. The answer is given by Habakkuk in his vision of the world he hopes for. He must maintain faith in it for it to be made real. The psalm reminds us that the world for which we long can only be made real if we do not allow the harshness and imperfection that surround us to harden our hearts. Timothy reminds his community and us that faith in the face of hardship, delay, and discouragement requires courage. The apostles don’t seem to have a lot of courage. They seem to be frightened and complaining, wanting more of what they hope will ease their struggle in a difficult world, more faith to sustain them during difficult times. Today’s Readings: Hb 1:2–3; 2:2–4; Ps 95:1–2, 6–9; 2 Tm 1:6–8, 13–14; Lk 17:5–10
