WELCOME TO THE FELLOWSHIP LUNCHEON & HAIR AWARDS 2023 The Fellowship is proud to present our Awards categories for 2023. We’d like to invite you to take part in the biggest and best independent awards event in the industry. This year we have introduced a new SPOTLIGHT Award which is split into two categories. The over 25’s and under 25’s.  Its aim is to find the next generation of talent and stars of the future. 

Taking part in all our Awards, has never been easier, just visit our online Awards Platform and submit your entries. All our award winners will be celebrated at our Luncheon & Hair Awards taking place again at the Londoner in Leicester Square, on Monday 4th December. 

Our Luncheon and Hair Awards are the official start to the Christmas celebrations for all ambitious hairdressers and without doubt, the hottest ticket in town, an experience not to be missed. Walk down the red carpet and rub shoulders with the coolest new talent, who’ll be mixing it up and networking with our iconic legends in one of the five sumptuous bars of the hotel. Come and celebrate the evolution of the Fellowship as we continue to shape the future of hairdressing.  We look forward to seeing you all there.

NEW Spotlight Award spotlight is the latest initiative from the Fellowship to find the next generation of talent and stars of the future. we are looking for Fellowship members who want to develop their career by appearing on a Fellowship stage – in person or digital, and want to put themselves and their work in the spotlight. The competition is open to all ages and as it’s a virtual competition, entering couldn’t be simpler. The competition is split into two age groups: • Spotlight for the under 25s • Spotlight for the over 25s

...and is split into two heats.

ENTRY RULES & CRITERIA Heat One

Heat Two

Members are invited to send in a fourminute video showing a cut, colour or creative idea on a mannequin or live model – the choice is yours. Please demonstrate this on either a mannequin head or a model.

For those entrants who get through to heat two, each entrant will be asked to present a second presentation live on stage* based on a brief provided by the Fellowship.

We are looking for authenticity and for your talent to shine through so please no professionally produced footage.

To support your video entry please submit: • 3 images of your final look in a jpeg format. • A recent headshot. • A 50 word bio.

Deadline for receiving HEAt onE entries is Friday 19th may at 5:00 pm.

A panel of selected judges will judge each entry and select the best presenters to go forward to the next heat, which will be announced during a Spotlight show to be live streamed via the new Fellowship App in July 2023.

The presentations will be judged by a panel of Fellowship experts and the finalists announced during a Spotlight show to be live streamed via the new Fellowship App in october 2023.

The winner from each age group will be announced at the Luncheon & Awards on monday, 4th december.  There will be onE winner from each age group. *Venue location to be confirmed. There will also be the option to present virtually if a finalist is unable to get to the venue location.

ENTRY RULES & CRITERIA Awards Period

Shortlist

The 2023 Fellowship Image Awards period is between 31 May 2022 – 30 September 2023. All images and content submitted/referenced MUST have been created during the Awards Period.

All image award categories will have a maximum of 6 finalists each. These finalists will be announced at the end of October 2023. The winner of each category will be announced at the Fellowship’s Luncheon & Hair Awards on 4 December 2023.

Images Except for the Snapshot Image, all images should be taken in a professional environment.

Digital Submissions All submissions need to be submitted digitally through our entry portal: www.fellowship.awardsplatform.com

You will need to declare that photographic images submitted, are your own work and meet all criteria in the requirements for entry.

Judging Panel Judging is completely anonymous. The judging panel has been carefully selected based on their individual and independent merit, with each judge regarded as an international leader within the hair fashion sector. Judges are provided with category descriptions as the key criteria to allocate scoring against.

Entrant Requirements All entrants must be an INDIVIDUAL MEMBER of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing. Entries will be not be processed if you are not a member. Details on how to join are within the entry platform.

Hall of F.A.M.E. Award the F.A.m.E. team platform is undoubtedly the most sought-after global launch pad for aspiring new talent that allows team members to showcase their skills and their eye for detail, to experience a year long education programme that money alone cannot buy. We knew them as aspiring young individuals when they were part of the Fellowship’s F.A.M.E. Team education programme, now its time to get to know them as the successful established hairdressers that they’ve now become. Whether it be owning and running their own salon, becoming a Freelance or Session stylist, we would like them to share their journey with us after their time on the F.A.M.E. Team.

Detail two projects, successfully completed by you since you left the F.A.M.E. Team, that clearly show the calibre and variety of the work you are now undertaking. Please be sure to detail how these projects have made a positive impact on your professional profile that you’re now enjoying as a result. Maybe you’ve opened a fantastic salon, or styled hair for a well-known celebrity or other high-profile individual or perhaps you collaborated with or became a Brand Ambassador with a big product or fashion brand getting involved with the launch of a new campaign? Please provide

This is the perfect opportunity to showcase your work! Upload images of your portfolio with a selection of imagery that illustrates the full range of your work and achievements. Include a brief explanation for each image and the date that it was created. This can cover any aspect of your career to date. YOU CAN ALSO INCLUDE A VIDEO (OPTIONAL)

To give our members a real insight into you and the world you work in, you may wish to include a short video file (max 2 mins) to accompany your entry. The video must be separately supplied as a MOV or MP4 video (the video must be separate from your PDF entry). Smartphone footage is acceptable.
