Installing Your tiella Fiero Pendant Pack

IMPORTANT: 1. Use maximum 12 volt, 35 watt, bi-pin halogen bulb with this pendant. 2. Make sure all connections are very tight. 3. These instructions show a typical pendant installation. Tools Needed For Installation: Wire Cutters, Needle Nose Pliers, & Tape Measure One Fiero Pendant Shown.

Fiero Pendant Pack

— Cut the coaxial cable to the desired length with wire cutters.

1. Take Inventory — Unpack the box containing (1) Fiero Pendant, (1) 35 watt 12 volt Bi-Pin Bulb, (1) Bulb Shield, (1) Allen Wrench.

— Gently twist the cut end of the coaxial cable between the thumb and forefinger. — Feed and push the coaxial cable into the base. Make sure the outer wrapped wire inserts properly. The coaxial cable will come to a stop point after being inserted 1/4” into the base.

— Keep pushing the coaxial cable into the tip of the male connector until the inner wire is visible through the sight hole. The outer wrapped wire will start wrinkling while being inserted another 1/2” into the male connector.

2. Adjust Pendant Height — Locate the Fiero Pendant and remove pendant connector.

— Back out (do not remove) the set screw on tip of the male connector with the provided Allen wrench. MALE CONNECTOR

— Back out (do not remove) the set screw on the base with the provided Allen wrench.

— Pull the coaxial cable out.

INNER WIRE

— Hold the coaxial cable in place and tighten the set screw on tip of the male connector with the provided Allen wrench. Make sure that this set screw connection is tight. — Tighten the set screw on the base firmly. Do not over tighten this set screw: over tightening may cause the fixture to short.

— Pull the coaxial cable towards the fixture to smooth the wrinkles.

— If a pendant location falls directly over the joiner, remove the plastic insulator from the inside of the pendant connector; otherwise, skip this step.

3. Install the Pendant

— To avoid damaging the halogen bulb, do not touch bulb with bare hands. Wearing gloves or using a soft cloth, check that the pins of the bi-pin bulb are firmly seated in the socket.

— Slide the connector onto the rail and screw a cap (with metal stem inside) to the pendant. The connection must be flush with the rail and tight.

— Screw the threaded male connector into the pendant connector. — Remove the cap from the pendant connector.

5. Important Safety Instructions

— Turn on the power to the electrical box.

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, exposure to excessive UV radiation, or injury to person:

— Turn on the system and let it run for 5 minutes. — Use this fixture indoors only.

— Turn the system off and carefully check that all connection points are not hot to the touch (warm is acceptable).

— Do not look directly at the lighted bulb. — Do not remain in light if skin feels warm.

— If a connection is hot, be sure to firmly tighten the connections.

— Risk of Fire: Use only the type of bulb and maximum wattage indicated in this instruction manual. — Never cover the halogen bulb and never place flammable material close to your fixture.

PENDANT CONNECTIONS

— Never turn the fixture on and off by connecting and disconnecting the halogen bulb. — Do not touch the fixture shade while the fixture is on. This surface is HOT.
