Ponnonam 2022: The festival of togetherness From the dawn of the "Chingapulari" MGMIS started celebrating the harvest of young talents. Ponnonam 2022 was inaugurated by our esteemed chief guest Mr Jassie Gift, a renowned playback Singer in Film Industry. With the presence of Principal Ms Beena Jacob and Coordinator Ms Uma Sankar and all other members of the School, the space solemnized Students Celebrated Ponnonam 2022 with great enthusiasm.

Helping the poor and the Needy

Helping the poor and the Needy Nalla padam club has collected many products from the students for providing it for the poor and needy of a nearby Colony. Students and concerned teachers celebrated their Onam with karunya: an Orphanage Home.

The Light of Guidance to Lead the Path. "Everything you need to succeed is already inside you – you just have to access your inner-power and make it happen."️ A professional assistance and guidance was provided to our students of Grade IX & X by the renowned Counsellor and skill trainer, Mr.Prasidh Prasad. The Session was informative and interesting to the students.

To reopen after the Onam holidays was an exciting join to MGMIS because of the upcoming teacher’s day Celebrations. Teachers all around the world are the magicians who with their magnificent spell of love and knowledge could enlighten the kindred spirits. To begin with the celebrations a Teacher’s day special assembly was conducted in the school auditorium to give honour to the educators. Teachers are the ones who implement their dreams through their students. They make their students capable of everything they at once loved to be. They not only inspire students but also are able to mould their character towards the society. Teacher’s got a chance to explore their interest and present their views and thoughts in front their beloved children. A spectacular dance performance was conducted by the talented teachers of MGMIS.

A Day for promoting literacy… "Once you learn to read, you will be forever free." - Frederick Douglass World literacy Day was celebrated with all the embellishments of colours of letters and beauty of literature. Students were encouraged to read and recite poems. Myriad language games encouraged children to explore their interest in different languages. The seeds of importance of reading and writing was sown in the young and nurturing minds.

Restoring the national language to its purity. ह िं दी हदवस की शु ुुभकामनाएिं : 'ह िं दी मारी प चान'... To spread the importance of our National Language Hindi Diwas was celebrated in the School campus. Students were encouraged to speak in their national language and language oriented activities were done on classroom a special assembly was conducted by grade VI. Hindi Day reminds us of our cultural strength! It is a symbol of passion and love for our country.

Emergency, First Response. Students were inspired to create a First Aid box by the Educators of General Science Dept. Teachers. Students prepared it with great ecstasy.The day made them realise the importance of First Aid in one's life. Students collected the necessary items for the First Aid and kept it for Class use. Students got an opportunity to realise we fall yet we rise with help...

Education the true face of Democracy "Education … like democracy, is always in the making, forever incomplete, founded in possibilities.” —Maxine Greene Education and democracy are two sides of a coin. From schools Children learn the basics of Democracy from the texbooks and actual practices of election and the cabinet elected by the children themselves. The basics of constitutional rights, quizzes and History of democracy was taught in chunks to Children for their understanding of the "Iceberg theory of Democracy..."

“Earth the House, Ozone the Roof.” "Montreal Protocol@35: global cooperation protecting life on earth." Students got a chance to delve in to the realm of earth and it's omnipotent shelter which protects it from further depletion. Children created posters and took oaths for protecting their mother earth.A class discussion relating to the topic was provided to the students and conversed vividly about the conservation of various natural resources.The young "Greta Thunbergs" created amicable environment for the other explorers of the Nature oriented clubs.

PARTICIPANTS STOLE THE MINDS IN DHWANI, BHARAT SAHODAYA, 2022. Participants from various schools in Thiruvananthapuram vied for trophies in Bharath Sahodaya- Inter School Literary Competitions held on September 17 in Alan Feldmqn School, Kazhakuttam.The event was inaugurated by Cine Artist Sri.Prem Kumar. Our participants bagged many prizes to making Our School proud once again. In category ll *Samarjith* from Class Vl and *Kailas Brijesh* of Class Vl got Second prize. Elocution in Malayalam *Mehfil Hameed* of class IV got First Prize. For Hindi Story Writing Category lll *Maheshwar* V of class X gained I prize and Category ll, *Rohit Lalu* of class VII got second prize. For Pencil drawing Category I *Aradhya Ajay* got Ist prize. Sayan M got third Prize. Category lll Avani A of lX got IInd prize in Essay Writing English. For Hindi recitation Amana M Shaji of class lX got Third Prize. Malayalam recitation Niveditha Vipin of Class lll got third prize.Pavithra Nair of Class Vl got IInd prize in Category ll English recitation.Navaneetha A R of class VIII bagged Second Prize for English Recitation Category lll. For Digital Painting Sreenanda a Subeesh of Vl gained Third Prize.Hindi Recitation in Category l INAYA M of class lll and Kathir Vasudev of class IV gained Third prize. For Extempore English, Category lll, Arundhathi Aneesh of Grade IX gained First prize. For malayalam recitation Category lll, Aishu Shaji of Grade IX and Alan Asok of Class VIII gained Third prize. English Recitation, Category l Sayan M of Class IV got Ist prize.

Amiya Khatoon of Class IV got Third prize.Essay writing Malayalam category lll Aman Fadil of class Vll got first prize.and Elocution English Anvitha Abhilash of Class Vl gained Third prize. Principal, Beena Jacob, Coordinator Uma Sankar, staff were present.

MORE, MORE AND MORE PRIZES … For the MGMIS family September was a month of great surprises and pride.After the great Bharat Sahodaya, 2022 again an opportunity for bagging prizes hit MGMIS hard. Students took the opportunity and welcomed it with great responsibility and hard work. Students engaged in practice and participated in the State level Hindi competitions held on 22nd September at Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha, Thiruvananthapuram. Light Music,Group B Krishna Sree,Grade V scored III prize and Raveen Krishna of grade VI scored IIIrd prize. Light Music, Group C,Aishu Shaji of Grade X and Theertdha V S OF Grade X gained IIIrd Prize Hand Writing Competition Sivani Sivakumar of Class IV got IIIrd Rank. Recitation Group B,Dhathri Nandhini,Grade VI gained second prize. Recitation,Group C,Amin Muhammed got consolation Prize. Hand Writing Competition Group B, Anvitha Abhilash got Consolation Prize.

Building a Clean India for the Future. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or Clean India Mission is a national campaign introduced by the Government of India in 2014 to eliminate open defecation and generate awareness about sanitation. On account of the Swachh Bharat Week the Students of Nallapadam Club organised a wide range of cleanliness activities in and around the school. They paid aid for cleaning the Kilimanoor Post Office. Students showed great interest in paying tribute to their surroundings. The Student Media Club also participated in the goodness act of Nallapadam Club of MGMIS. With the presence of the students, Coordinators and other dignitaries the cleanliness project was welcomed in the goodness list of MGMIS.
