Message from the Head of Healthcare Academy
Mohamed Anwar Head of Healthcare Academy, King Hamad University Hospital
06
2022 MESSAGE In the year 2022, the Healthcare Academy at King Hamad University Hospital has seen an exponential growth in health profession education and training. Maj Gen (Dr) Sheikh Salman Bin Ateyatallah Alkhalifa, CEO of King Hamad University Hospital, and Dr Dalal Alhasan, Director of Education and Proficiency Centre, have raised the standard of medical and health professions education and training, ensuring that educators inspire the workforce of the future with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver brilliant healthcare. More broadly, our educators are addressing critical workforce challenges in health care by designing and delivering educational interventions addressing clinical workforce learning needs, thereby influencing the quality of care and patient outcomes. Following its designation as a governmental training institution by the Higher Education Council of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Healthcare Academy has firmly established itself as a major provider of formal academic qualification programs for the healthcare profession. This has been a forerunner to the delivery of education programs required for the licensure of healthcare professionals. I am pleased to share with you some of the key developments achieved in 2022 and look forward to the Healthcare Academy's continued growth. Mohamed Anwar Head of Healthcare Academy, King Hamad University Hospital
