The Kedah flag is mostly red, with the state arms of Kedah on the upper hoist, which is the top left quarter of the flag. The traditional colour of Kedah is red, which stands for prosperity. The arms on the flag are the same as those on the stand-alone arms. A green crescent moon under a yellow shield shows that the country is Muslim. A yellow rice paddy on a red background surrounds the green crescent moon. Red is the state's traditional colour, which has been passed down from generation to generation. It is also a sign of wealth, while the crescent moon is a sign of Islam. The shield shows that the Sultan of the state looks out for his people and protects them. Paddy means that the country has a good way of life.

Sultan Sallehuddin was proclaimed the 29th Sultan of Kedah on September 12, 2017 at Istana Anak Bukit by the Menteri Besar of Kedah, Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah. When his half-brother Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah died on September 11, 2017, he took his place. At the age of conquest, he is the oldest ruler in Southeast Asia. He is older than Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn, who became king 11 months earlier at the age of 64. (Nawaf Al-Ahmed AlJaber Al-Sabah from Kuwait is the oldest in the world, at age 83). He is also the shortest heir. Before taking the throne, he was only an heir for 8 months and 28 days. On October 22, 2018, His Majesty was officially named Sultan and given the title Al-Aminul Karim at the Great Hall of Istana Anak Bukit. This was the first televised ceremony since 1959. Article 9 of the Kedah State Government's Constitution says that the King Erecting Meeting is in charge of choosing the person who will take the throne. After the announcement, Dato' Pengelola Bijaya Diraja, who is also the Chief of Ceremonies, Dato' Syed Unan Mashri Syed Abdullah, helped Tunku Sallehuddin sit on the throne. The crowd then chanted "Daulat Tuanku" three times, and the Mufti of Kedah, Dato' Syeikh Fadhil Awang, said prayers. The Council of Appointing the King of Kedah made the decision to make him Sultan of Kedah on the day that his late brother died. HISTORY

Online Finding Aids (OFA) are tools that assist users in locating information within a particular material. Finding aids used to be primarily printed documents but many are now available online. NARA, other Federal agencies, publishers, private organizations, and parties all can create some finding aid materials. Finding Aid Note and Finding Aid Source are dependent on this element even though it is independent. Archival records and manuscript collections are described using finding aids, which are descriptive tools like guides, inventories, or catalogs. A finding aid often includes details on the author, place of origin, size, content, format, time period, and organization of the papers or records. The collection's size is indicated by a container count or a measurement in linear or cubic feet. A biographical summary or organization history that provides context for the documents or records is known as a biographical or historical note. It may be expressed as a narrative statement or as a chronological listing. A description of the collection's scope and content, including information about the collection's content, forms, and use. Typically, this remark highlights the most noteworthy individuals, groups, occasions, and topics covered by the collection. Administrative data: Details on how the collection was obtained, how it was processed and by whom, how the material was organized, and whether any access or usage limitations were in place. Series Descriptions: Some collections are divided into distinct groups based on the purpose or record-keeping style of the records (such as incoming correspondence, news clippings, or meeting minutes. The contents of these distinct sections or series are frequently described in terms of their own scope and content notes. But it should be mentioned that there are many different sizes and types of finding aids. Finding aids rarely have all the same elements, just as no two collections are completely alike. For instance, series descriptions and container lists are frequently included in larger collections, although no additional descriptions may be needed for smaller collections beyond the scope and content.
