INCONSCIENTE COLECTIVO Es muy difícil pegar en el inconsciente colectivo del público en general para los Músicos Bolivianos que apuestan por la escena rockera nacional, claro que en las masas populares existen bandas que han logrado conseguir un lugar que los identifique en relación a otras movidas culturales. Pero como bien se sabe el hacer música Pop Rock Latina, les funciona bien en cuanto a los factores económicos. En cuanto al año que se fue, bandas como Quirquiña, Deszaire y Octavia han estado manteniéndose presente en sus conciertos, giras a Boliches Bolivianos en Estados Unidos. Acompañados del que hasta ahora es el referente musical más importante de Bolivia; Llegas. También entra en este grupo de bandas que “llenan” Alcoholika, que estuvo presente con la versión de “Celia” de Nación Alcoholika, que formo parte de la película “Quien Mató a la Llamita Blanca”. Fue grato ver a bandas con trayectoria que gira alrededor de la década, persistir en enviar el mensaje de tener canciones que puedan ser identificadas como 100% bolivianas. Fue el caso de Atajo, que celebró en grande sus 10 Años de Carrera Artística, con 4 discos en estudio, y tres en vivo, el último en directo “Hechos en Bolivia” el que celebra la década, Lo mejor en discos del 2007, presenta a bandas independientes, Santamandinga, Surfin Wagner (“Sufers del Choquellapu EP”), la desaparecida banda de Trip - rock mestizo (“Meconio” y su útlimo disco “Meconio Vol 2”), Querembas (“Manicomnio”), Arkanos (“Tierra de Héroes”), Elemental Sickness, Oil, Hate, Supay, Rabeat. Y para la nueva gestión musical Maldita Jakeca, Rantés, Llawar se vienen con nuevas producciones musicales bolivianas con mucha calidad 100% Bolivianas.

COLECTIVE UNCONSCIENCE It is very difficult to heat the public, in general, for the Bolivian musicians who go for the National Rock scene. Obviously, in the popular masses, there are bands which have achieved a place in which they feel identified with regards to any other cultural moves. But as everyone very well knows, it works well for them to make Latin Pop Rock Music economically. Regarding last year, bands like Quirquiña, Deszaire y Octavia have been present in their live concerts in tours around Bolivian Bars in the United States. They have gone together with the one which has been up to now the most important musical referent in Bolivia, Llegas. Within this group of bands we can find bands like Alcoholika that was present with the version by Celia of Alcoholika Nation, which was played in the soundtrack of the film “Who killed the little white llama”. It was very pleasant to see bands with a trajectory which goes around the decade. They persist on sending the message to have songs that can be identified as 100% Bolivian. It was the case of Atajo they celebrated big time the 10 anniversary of their artist career. They recorded 4 albums in studio and three more live concerts albums in those 10 years. The last album “Made in Bolivia” celebrates the decade. Best albums in 2007 present independent bands as: Santamandinga, Surfin Wagner (“Sufers del Choquellapu EP”), the disappeared band Trip – mixed race rock (“Meconio” and last but not least album “Meconio Vol 2”), Querembas (“Manicomnio”), Arkanos (“Tierra de Héroes”), Elemental Sickness, Oil, Hate, Supay, Rabeat. For the new musical management: Maldita Jakeca, Rantes, Llawar come to scene with new Bolivian musical productions with high quality 100% Bolivian.

UNA EXPLOSION MUSICAL Luego de una noche de joda, diversión y mucho alcohol; la mañana siguiente es inevitable tener una jaqueca. A esta situación, del sur de Bolivia, Maldita Jakeca crea una explosión musical, que con Rock ‘n’ Roll, Funk, Rap, Hip Hop, Punk, y lenguaje sexplícito paralelo a su Spanglish.

Se incluye en la movida del “Rock Alterlatino” que produce un Poder en el Sonido tanto en estudio, como en el directo, “Alka Seltzer” (para la resaca), fue el nombre del primer disco; que si bien carece de recursos técnicos que estén a la par de la composición musical de Sergio Conejo Arce; representa el primer intento de “hacerse notar” y crear un sonido que sea identificable. Cuyo Objetivo sería cumplido con el segundo trabajo discográfico, “Rompecabezas” para armar el inconformismo con lo socio-político-comunicacional; y tener el éxito que los identificará en la posteridad con “Nada Cambia Todo Cumbia”, dentro de uno de los discos más completos del Rock Nacional. Ahora presenciamos la evolución de la banda con “El Encholado”, un trabajo completamente profesional, listo para sumergirse y crear un espacio en la representatividad del país musicalmente, hacía otros continentes. En cuanto a este tercer disco, gran tributo a la música del acervo popular boliviano, con el Funk ‘n’ Roll propio de la Jakeca. Y para el futuro, la banda en estudio trabajando en lo que celebrará los 10 años de la Jakeca, el 2008 con nuevo disco “La Jakecada”, y un documental de tocadas en vivo.

MUSICAL EXPLOSION After a long night out, fun and loads of alcohol; the next day is inevitable to have migraine. Due to this situation, from the South of Bolivia, Maldita Jakeca creates a musical explosion with Rock n´Roll, Funk, Rap, Hip Hop, Punk and sexplicit language in parallel to their Spanglish. It should be included to the Rock Alterlatino which produces Power to the Sound as much in the Studio as in a live concert. “Alka Seltzer” (it means hang over) was the name of their first album, even if it is a lack of technical means for Sergio Conejo Arce musical composition skills, it represents the first try to “point out” and to create a sound which can be recognised. The goal was achieved with the second album – “Rompecabezas” to joint the nonconformist era with the communicational political social age and to be successful that will identify them in the future with “Nada Cambia Todo Cumbia”, within one of the albums most complete in the National Rock. Now, we witness the evolution of the band with “El Encholado”. This is a work completely professional. It is ready to deep into and creates a space in the music of the country towards other continents. Regarding this third album, it is a great tribute to the passion of the popular Bolivian music with Funk n´Roll belonging to Jakeca style. And for the future, the band is working in the studio in the 10 years anniversary of Jakeca in 2008 with a new album “La Jakecada” and a live concert documental movie.

NECESIDAD SIEMPRE PRESENTE

NECESSITY ALWAYS PRESENT

Músicos de verdad, a los que les mueve la necesidad de hacer música, y contar sentimientos con ella. Cuando descubrieron un remedio casero para la estupidez humana, y se lo quieren contar a todo el mundo, es Rantés (nombre del personaje de una película del Argentino Eliseo Subiela) que poco a poco haría poesía musical completamente Rockera y Alterlatino.

True musicians, they are moved by the necessity to make music and let flow the feelings through it. They discovered a traditional remedy for human stupidity and they want to tell everybody. It is Rantes (name of the main character Argentinean movie by Eliseo Subieta) which little by little would make poetry completely Rock style and Alterlatin.

Como banda independiente lo empezaron a hacer atravesando miles de obstáculos, en cuanto a los frutos en el público como en sus bolsillos. Ya que para los oídos de la comercialidad es difícil entender un mercado, en el que se lucha con la globalización musical. Pero La banda ha perseverado con los años, consiguiendo seguidores, y su primer disco el 2001, “Cuentos Bizarros”, que por ser bizarro no los saco del lugar en el que se encontraban. Un disco lleno de letras hermosas, pero un sonido muy defectuoso, “ojala hubieran tenido dinero, para hacerlo mejor”.

As an independent band they began to go through thousand of obstacles as for the audience as their pockets. Commercially speaking, they were difficult to be understood in a market in which you fight for global music. But the band has persevered during the year that is how they have got fans and their first album in 2001 – “Cuentos Bizarros” did not take them out from the place they were due to its bizarre name. That was an album full ”.of beautiful lyrics, but the sound was very defective, “I wish they had money to make it better

Pero la necesidad siempre presente, no ha permitido que su música muera; y para el 2004 sacan a la luz, la obra “Túneles” con la poesía moviéndose entre las guitarras más pesadas, en un Hard Rock con armonías de conservatorio. Gracias a este disco, en la movida nacional se puede saber que hay una banda llamada Rantés que hacen Rock “Paceño”. Y a la par del directo, Rantés tiene su esencia floreciendo en el Inconsciente Colectivo de nuestra sociedad.

But the necessity is always present, it did not allow their music to die and in 2004 they brought out a new album “Tuneles”, the poetry moved amongst the heaviest guitars. It was Hard Rock with conservatory melodies. Thanks to this last album, in the National music sphere, we know a band called Rantes exists that make Rock “Paceño”. Together with live concerts, Rantes has its essence thriving within the Collective unconscious in our society.
