The Pelican Preserve Color Guard will present the colors and the Acapelicans will perform at the ceremony. The Town Center administrative office is located across from the Art Room. The hours are 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

Guests using the fitness center must be at least 16 years of age, check in at the front desk and pay a guest fee. Please refrain from smoking in the outdoor pool area. Smoking areas are located outside the pool fence. No glass containers are permitted in the pool areas. Children under 12 years old are not permitted in the spa per the Lee County Health Department. During inclement weather, please alert fitness center staff to lower umbrellas at the outdoor pool to prevent damage. Adhere to posted speed limits throughout Pelican Preserve and yield to pedestrians in crosswalks. Golf course and cart paths are for golfers only. Please do not use the golf course or cart paths to jog, run, walk or walk your dog. This includes early morning and evening hours. Do not ride bikes on the sidewalks. Use the bike lanes on Pelican Preserve Boulevard. When riding on the road, ride with the flow of traffic, not against it. Don’t forget your helmet! Bikers should follow rules of the road which means stopping at stop signs, signaling and yielding to pedestrians. When walking in the community, please use the sidewalks. Help us maintain the beauty in our natural areas and properly dispose of dog waste. Do not throw waste bags in the preserve area. Please do not feed the wildlife in the preserve or in your neighborhoods. This includes alligators.

Dog Park Usage & Maintenance If you are interested in utilizing the dog park, you must register your dog at the Town Center reception desk. Once your dog is registered, a special tag will be issued for your dog and you’ll be provided with the gate code. Forms may be found on the Pelican Preserve website under “Documents & Forms.” Please note that the dog park will be closed the first Monday of every month for routine maintenance. Pelican Preserve Name Tags We encourage Pelican Preserve Residents to wear name tags to Pelican Preserve events, functions and get-togethers. Order your name tag for $8.50 by contacting Beverly Hoffmann at (239) 313-6332 or [email protected], or Mary Jo Nardello at (609) 709-0995 or [email protected]. Your name and neighborhood will be printed on the name tag. The color of your name tag will be specific to your neighborhood. Payment is due with the order. Privacy at Pelican Preserve Securitas will check Residents and guests for ID cards. Please remember to bring your cards with you to the outdoor pool and various areas at the Town Center. If you are in need of a Guest or Resident card please inquire with Sandy Royal at the Town Center reception desk. Golf Cart Parking The golf cart parking lot is located next to the lagoon pool and tennis courts. Please utilize the golf cart parking lot and refrain from parking your golf cart in the Town Center main parking area. Thank you for your cooperation!

Golf Cart Requirements Drivers of golf cart must be 16 years of age and a licensed driver in order to operate a golf cart. Refrain from having children on your lap. Children must be seated while riding in a golf cart. Smoking at the Town Center The Town Center is a smoke-free zone. Please refrain from smoking in the pool areas, outside the fitness center and restaurants. Designated smoking areas are located outside the lagoon pool fence and exterior perimeter of the Town Center. Outdoor Pools There are two outdoor pools located at the Town Center. The lagoon pool is for general use, and visiting family and friends. The pool located next to Flip-Flops is an adult pool only. A designated lap lane is also available for lap swimming at all times. Please be courteous, the pool is designed for lap swimming and general usage.

Pelican Preserve Newsletter The Pelican Preserve monthly newsletter is available at the Town Center reception desk, Soleil Health & Fitness and The Club at Pelican Preserve. Looking for the Newspaper For your convenience, a Fort Myers News-Press newspaper stand is located in the Town Center across from the dog park. $1.50 daily/$2.00 for Sunday Pelican Preserve Website For questions about the website or information on how to log in, please contact Stacy Logue at (239) 985-1755 or email [email protected]. When initially logging in to the website your username will be your Town Center account number followed by either 0 or 1, depending upon who the primary is on the account. Passwords are the first letter of your first name followed by your last name (no spaces and all lower case). Community Bulletin Board The Community Bulletin Board and business card display are located in the computer room for your convenience. Copies and Faxes There is a public copy and fax machine located in the Pelican Lounge. All copies and faxes should be made at this machine. There is no fee for copies or faxing.

Access CARD SYSTEM TOWN CENTER ACCESS The Town Center is equipped with an access control system. The only way to access the outdoor pool area, sewing room, billiard room and card room is with Resident user cards. Enrollment Residents may fill out paperwork and have photos taken Monday Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm with Sandy Royal in the Town Center reception office. ALL RENTERS must obtain Resident user cards from Kim Davis in the fitness center. GUESTS Residents may obtain user cards for their guests. Guest Registration Form should be turned in to Sandy Royal in the reception office. Sandy will issue your guest a user card and it will be available to pick up in the Pelican Lounge. There is a $10 fee for cards not returned. Guest cards are good for a maximum of 30 days. VISITOR ACCESS SYSTEM The Pelican Preserve Advisory Committee (PPAC) is working with our security company, Securitas, to implement a new, and more effective, visitor access software system. The new system, DwellingLive, replaces CapSure . DwellingLive hosts improved security benefits and will make Pelican Preserve safer. You should have receiving a packet of information on the DwellingLive system along with a registration code. If you did not receive this information or have questions about the new system, please call Castle Group (239) 985-1634.

2017 Summer Reciprocal Program The Club at Pelican Preserve will once again be participating in the 2017 Summer Reciprocal Program. See the staff in the golf shop for more information. The Club will be closing Egret greens for renovations on May 22. This project includes the greenside bunkers on Egret and Heron. We will still have 18 holes open for play. Chair Yoga Wednesday 10:15 - 11:00am Osprey Room Enjoy the benefits of yoga without getting up and down from the floor. In chair yoga, students practice poses while seated in a chair or using the chair for assistance in some standing poses. Perfect class for anyone looking for gradual and gentle ways to increase range of motion.

Pelican Preserve Exceeds Our United Way Goal! Head Start Summer Solstice a Huge Success! The Head Start program wants to express their sincere appreciate to the Residents of Pelican Preserve who donated to the Summer Solstice party. The tennis shoes, underwear, socks and book bags that were donated will be distributed to our needy Head Start 4-year olds a the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year. Money collected will be used to purchase gift cards that will meet identified families’ needs throughout the year. Due to your generosity, families will be assisted with dignity and care.

On behalf of the United Way Committee at Pelican Preserve, thank you for all your contributions. They were sincerely appreciated! As a community, Pelican Preserve exceeded our goal of $35,000 for 2017. Plus, United Way of Lee County exceeded their goal of $9.6 million. There were 115 donors plus $847 raised at the shredding party. Of the 115 donors, 10 of those were Leadership donors who contributed over $1000/year. United Way of Lee County keeps all our donations right here in Lee County to help people in serious need. Next year the committee would love to see our number of donors exceed 200. Also, thank you for shopping at Publix; they are the #1 donor of the United Way in Lee County.

Habitat relies on gifts from individuals, corporations and other groups to fund their house building missions worldwide. The garden will reopen Sunday, October 1, 2017. We will once again be determining the garden plot assignments for the 2017/2018 season by a simple lottery. Pelican Preserve 2018 Calendar Photo Contest The Pelican Preserve Camera and Photography Club is pleased to announce a photo contest for the creation of a 2018 Pelican Preserve Calendar. The theme for this year’s calendar will be “Nature in Pelican Preserve.” We are inviting Pelican Preserve Residents and renters to submit your photos of wildlife, landscapes, plants, sunsets and scenery. Proceeds from the sale of the calendar and other items will benefit the Head Start program.. All pictures must have been taken within Pelican Preserve.
