ABSTRACT Este reporte s~ refiere a servicios de consultoria b~s~tlo a -job description SI/DOM/84/802/11-01/32.1. I. La visita en la Republica Dominican~ fu~ iniciada en abril 15 con el objetivo de d~r asistencia al C0nsejo Estatal del AzG-car (CEA) en la preparaci6n de la Ja~umentaci6n de concurso in ternacional para una Planta Termica ce 37 MW anexa al In~enio Barahona. La informaci6n disponible para- una revision nc satisface los requerimientos para un concurso internacional por falta de un estudio de factibilidad en el cual deben pre~isar las especifi caciones t~cnicas y aspectos econ6micos en mis detalle. Estl previstQ la instalaci6n de dos (~) Plantas Termicas id~n ticas, cad~ una con una capacidad nominal de 37 MW, en las cu_! les una debe ser implementada y operada por el CEA y la otra por la CDE, La CDE ha producido documentos para un concurso iniciando ese proceso sin coordinaci5n con el CEA. La a1tima no ha final1za do documentos presentaoles hasta ahora. La documentaciOn de la COE ~o es consi;tente con las necesidades tecnicas para el Proye~to. Una ~oordinacion entre las dos entidades no existe en practica y esti perjudicando el progreso deseable.
