Valparaíso tiene la forma de un anfiteatro natural frente al mar en que casi toda la ciudad cuelga de los cerros, en una desordenada armonía y con un patrimonio material e inmaterial plasmado en las costumbres y tradiciones del particular estilo de vida del “porteño”. En este tour caminado, tendremos la posibilidad de visitar lugares de gran atractivo patrimonial y arquitectónico, los cerros Alegre y Concepción con sus paseos miradores y pasadizos llenos de historias de los inmigrantes extranjeros que llegaron a Valparaíso cuando este importante puerto era considerado "la joya del Océano Pacífico“. Valparaiso is in the form of a natural amphitheater facing the sea where most of the city hangs from the hills, in a disordered harmony and with a tangible and intangible heritage reflected in the customs and traditions of the particular lifestyle of the “porteño” (person that lives in the port). On this walking tour we will be able to visit places of great heritage and architectural attraction, like the Alegre and Concepción hills with its viewpoints, walks and passages filled with stories of foreign immigrants who came to Valparaiso when this major port was considered "the jewel of ocean Pacific”. Continuing along the Plaza Sotomayor and history of their heroes besides the Prat dock, to continue towards the historic harbor declared Heritage by UNESCO where Plaza Echaurren can be found, the Matrix and its environment. Additionally, in this tour we will use the local public transport Trolleybus, a unique rolling heritage in the country being the second oldest in service in South America since 1952; and the traditional elevators that are a mustsee, an estate with more than a century of existence, necessary and daily used by its citizens. CERROS Y MIRADORES DE VALPARAÍSO Dada la forma de un anfiteatro natural de cara al mar; casi toda la ciudad cuelga de los cerros, es por esto que subiremos al Cerro Florida en donde se encuentra la Casa-Museo de Pablo Neruda (Premio Nobel de Literatura año 1971) y desde la cual se ve toda la costa y la ciudad. Después continuaremos por el Camino Cintura atravesando cerros, apreciando el paisaje escénico, pintorescas construcciones, interminables escalas y estrechas calles que van de cerro a mar. Recorreremos los miradores/paseos peatonales Atkinson y Gervasoni llenos de historia de los inmigrantes extranjeros que llegaron a Valparaíso.

Luego bajaremos al nivel del mar para visitar el tradicional Muelle Prat y La Explanada de la Plaza Sotomayor que recuerda a los héroes de Iquique y la Guerra del Pacífico. 1B. HILLS AND VIEWPOINTS OF VALPARAISO Given the form of a natural amphitheater facing the sea; almost the whole city hangs from the hills, which is why we will climb to Cerro Florida where the house-museum of Pablo Neruda (Nobel Prize for Literature 1971) is and from which the entire coast and the city can be seen. Then we will continue through the Cintura Road that goes through other hills, appreciating the scenic landscape, picturesque buildings, endless stairways and narrow streets ranging from mountain to sea. We will visit the Atkinson and Gervasoni viewpoints / boardwalks which are full of history of foreign immigrants who came to Valparaiso.

Then we will descend to sea level to visit the traditional Prat Dock and the esplanade of the Plaza Sotomayor reminiscent of the heroes of Iquique and the Pacific War. To continue, we will go in one of the typical elevators to get to the May 21 road and visit its magnificent viewpoint. We will then continue up the Cerro Playa Ancha, to then go to the Merchant Marine Viewpoint to admire this fabulous amphitheater facing the Pacific.

Un gran circuito costero a orillas del Océano Pacífico. Salimos desde el hotel para recorrer el extenso bordemar pasando por Viña del Mar, Reñaca y Concón. Iniciamos el recorrido por los principales atractivos y calles de Viña del Mar, Av. Perú, Av. San Martín, Viana, Álvarez, Av. Marina, Libertad, entorno del Casino y Plaza de Armas, donde pasaremos por jardines hasta llegar al anfiteatro Quinta Vergara, lugar donde anualmente se realiza el Festival Internacional de la Canción. Seguidamente visitaremos el tradicional Reloj de Flores, ícono de la cuidad. Continuaremos el recorrido hacia Reñaca donde tendremos una vista panorámica de sus playas y Mirador de Lobos Marinos. A large coastal circuit along the Pacific Ocean. We leave the hotel to go through the extensive coast going through Viña del Mar, Reñaca and Concón. We begin the tour through the main attractions and streets of Vina del Mar, such as Av. Peru, Av. San Martin, Viana, Alvarez, Av. Marina, Libertad, Casino environment and Plaza de Armas, where we will pass through gardens to reach the amphitheater Quinta Vergara, where the annual International Song Festival is performed. Then we will visit the traditional and iconic Flower Clock. We continue the journey to Reñaca where we will have a panoramic view of the beaches and a sea lions lookout. Also we will visit The Oceanic Rock, declared a nature reserve for its diversity of Flora and Fauna. We will continue the journey to the Concón roundabout passing the bridge over the Aconcagua River, where we will arrive to the Ecological Park “The Island", in which we will have a beautiful panoramic view of the mouth of the river and the different species of migratory birds that concur at different times of the year.

The Prat Dock, enabled in 1850 with the sole purpose of transporting passengers, has now become one of the most typical of Valparaiso places, there are boardwalks, artisans and artists that delight visitors every day of the year.

2C. VALPARAISO SUNSET WITH DINNER IN VIÑA DEL MAR A scenic drive at sunset, where you will fall in love with Valparaiso while walking through the hills of this beautiful natural amphitheater facing the Pacific Ocean. The Atkinson and Gervasoni walks full of history of foreign immigrants who arrived in Valparaiso, waiting for us with their heritage homes and beautiful viewpoints. We continue to the May 21st walk, a magnificent viewpoint. We end our tour at dusk in Viña del Mar where the lifestyle, cuisine and beauty emerge. Menu dinner in a nice restaurant.

Traslado desde su hotel al punto de encuentro con el chofer, el cual los llevará al lugar donde se realizará la entretenida clase de cocina. Prepararemos y cocinaremos juntos en un ambiente informal y agradable donde daremos consejos especiales para ayudarle a reproducir cada plato al momento de regresar a su hogar. Cada clase comienza con una conversación con el chef/profesor sobre el menú que prepararemos para luego visitar el mercado y comprar los ingredientes frescos. 2D. CHILEAN COOKING LESSON DURATION: 5 to 6 hours HOURS: Monday through Saturday 10:00AM OR 3:30PM. Transfer from your hotel to the meeting point with the driver, which will take you to where the entertaining cooking class will take place. We will all together prepare and cook in an informal and friendly atmosphere where we will give special tips to help you recreate each dish when you return home. Each class begins with a conversation with the chef / teacher about the menu that we will be preparing and then visit the market to buy fresh ingredients. We will also prepare pisco sour, empanadas, pebre and Chilean salad plus a starter, main course and dessert of your choice, to then finish with a coffee or tea and a digestif. Of course we will eat our own preparations while drinking specially selected local wines. In addition to the pleasant exchange of experiences and advices, you will also be able to learn from our history, culture, music and what it means to be a "Chilean". Salida desde su hotel hacia El Valle de Casablanca, el cual lo impresionará por la belleza de su paisaje y la calidad de sus vinos. Su privilegiado clima mediterráneo es perfecto especialmente para los vinos blancos. En nuestro recorrido visitaremos un prestigioso viñedo donde podremos realizar un tour para conocer en detalle el proceso de elaboración de los vinos y degustarlos, ya que el programa incluye dos degustaciones. Luego, en el mismo viñedo almorzaremos mientras admiraremos el hermoso paisaje. Una vez listos, regresaremos a Valparaíso para seguir con nuestra experiencia culinaria… una clase de cocina entretenida y práctica en que preparamos y cocinamos juntos en un ambiente informal y agradable donde daremos consejos especiales para ayudarle a realizar los platos a la perfección. Este parque fue fundado el 17 de octubre de 1967 y es administrada por CONAF desde 1974. En 1985 fue declarado Reserva de la Biósfera por UNESCO. La fauna del Parque Nacional La Campana está compuesta por una alta representatividad de especies del mediterráneo chileno como de otras migratorias. Hay 100 especies animales, agrupados en mamíferos, aves, reptiles y anfibios. This park was founded on October 17, 1967 and it is managed by CONAF since 1974. In 1985 it was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The fauna of La Campana National Park is composed of a high representation of the Chilean Mediterranean species and others migratory. There are 100 animal species, grouped in mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. As for flora, this park holds an important number of "native" plant species from different latitudes and longitudes of Chile, reaching a total of 320 species of plants. The Ocoa sector is characterized by having one of the last forests of Chilean Palm, endangered specie.

Tendremos una hermosa vista panorámica de Algarrobo y El Quisco, pequeña bahía y lugar de escondite del corsario inglés Sir Francis Drake. Las cenizas de la poetiza, músico y compositora chilena Clara Solovera fueron esparcidas en la bahía luego de su muerte. En Isla Negra se encuentra la casa más famosa del poeta chileno Pablo Neruda. Es un lugar de ensueño, una casa concebida por el poeta justo frente al mar, hermosa arquitectura y contiene colecciones únicas de objetos traídos de todo el mundo. También visitaremos El Totoral, un pueblo típico chileno, donde se combina lo chileno y lo español. Continuamos a Pomaire, típico pueblo chileno. Su principal atractivo es la calle principal donde se vende artesanía en greda (o arcilla) y se ofrecen los platos típicos de la cocina chilena como pastel de choclo y empanadas. La cerámica es rojiza, lisa y brillante, su tradición alfarera se remonta desde antes de la llegada de los españoles y se encuentran vasijas, pailas, adornos y artículos de decoración.

Walk through an impressive coastline filled with poetry and charm, where several Chilean poets lived and created their legacy. Its principal attraction is the main road which sells crafts made of clay and typical Chilean cuisine dishes such as pastel de choclo and empanadas. The pottery is a tradition in this town which dates from before the arrival of the Spaniards. 2Q. VALLE DEL ACONCAGUA: TRADICIONES Y VINOS A 105 kilómetros de Valparaíso se encuentra el fértil Valle del Aconcagua, uno de los más relevantes en cuanto a agricultura, ganadería y fruticultura. A los pies de la majestuosa Cordillera de Los Andes, esta zona huasa es protagonista de fiestas criollas tradicionales como la “trilla a yegua suelta”, domadura de potros o rodeos y un entorno donde podemos encontrar pequeños poblados ricos en historia y tradición. Visitaremos el Museo Colonial Convento San Francisco de Curimón, construido en el siglo XVIII y restaurado en el año 2012, el cual alberga una colección de documentos histórico-religiosos de la época. Es una construcción de adobe con muros de 1 metro de espesor y fue lugar de paso de los sacerdotes a Mendoza.

2Q. ACONCAGUA VALLEY: TRADITIONS AND WINES 65 miles from Valparaiso is the fertile valley of Aconcagua, one of the most important in terms of agriculture, stockbreeding and fruit growing. At the foot of the majestic Andes Mountains, this “huasa” area is the protagonist of traditional creole festivals, like taming of colts or rodeos and an environment where we can find small towns rich in history and tradition. We will visit the Colonial Museum San Francisco Convent of Curimón, built in the eighteenth century and restored in 2012, which holds a collection of historical and religious documents of the time. It is an adobe building with walls 1 meter thick and was crossing site of the priests on their way to Mendoza.

We will visit the interior of the region while going through its villages and fields. 37 miles from Valparaíso is Olmué, "the folkloric capital of Chile“, village full of typical traditions. Here we will have an overview of its fields and you will be able to visit El Patagual, famous place where the renowned Festival of the Huaso of Olmué is held every year. We go on a gentle walk through the La Campana National Park, declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. It has a diverse native forest where Canelo, Lingue, Arrayan, Quisco and Colliguay predominate. Finally we will visit a nursery of beautiful plants and crafts and we will also have the opportunity to visit a place where they make craft “chica” (typical Chilean drink).
