Easter Sunday

COMMUNITY BUILDING Knights of Columbus present Check to Holy Trinity Catholic School On March 23, Our Lady Star of the Sea Council 7122 Knights of Columbus presented a check for $2,500 to Holy Trinity Catholic School principal Sheila Durante. The Knights raised the money via their annual Valentine’s Day Dinner Dance held at OLSS on February 14. Every year, proceeds from our Valentine’s Day dance are given to Holy Trinity, and we are very thankful for the response from the Parish and the Community in making this dance a huge success. Holy Trinity Catholic School is a Catholic elementary school located in Longs, South Carolina and is a sponsored ministry of Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Holy Trinity is committed to its Catholic heritage while being open to families of all faiths and backgrounds. Students participate in the Liturgy on Wednesday mornings, begin and end each day with prayer, and celebrate the various seasons of the Church’s year as well as the major feasts of the Church. Holy Trinity is totally committed to academic excellence through the use of a challenging curriculum, state of the art technology and classes in Art, Music, Physical Education, Spanish and Computers.

THRIFT STORE PARTNERSHIP Remember to bring your new and/or gently used items to the rear of the parish center on Thursday mornings from 9AM-11AM for pickup by BloomingDeals. For large items, call the church office and arrangements will be made for their pickup from your home. Your continuing support of this successful fundraiser is very much appreciated. "Interested in Becoming a Member of the Knights of Columbus, call 399-1593." Knights of Columbus Help Our ‘Special Kids’ Our Lady Star of the Sea Knights of Columbus Council 7122 would like to offer a heartfelt THANK YOU to our Parishioners, Visitors, Friends and Neighbors who contributed to our Operation Hope Campaign in 2014. The Knights of Columbus, the Columbiettes, and students and adults from the various local schools and organizations collected more than $24,000 during our Operation Hope campaign last year by giving away Tootsie Rolls at local businesses and after Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea. The purpose of this campaign is to increase public awareness of the needs of these very SPECIAL CHILDREN, and to give the teachers and moderators the resources necessary to help these children and adults. On March 18, 2015, the checks were distributed to representatives of each of the Organizations at a special breakfast held at Hot Stacks in North Myrtle Beach. Recipients of these funds included the Special Ed departments of the Ocean Drive Elementary (NMB), Riverside Elementary (NMB), and Waterway Elementary (NMB) as well as The Grand Strand Down Syndrome Society, Horry County ARC (ARC helps young adults with intellectual disabilities), and Current Transitions. As you can see, the funds remain in our Community, and help our Special Children and young adults. Again, we really appreciate the tremendous support we receive from every one of you who has helped us in our efforts. We are all constantly being called to be Stewards of God’s Gifts by willingly sharing our Time, Talents, and Treasure. THANK YOU AND MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU.

Santiago: Fue decapitado. Bartolomé: Le quitaron la piel vivo y luego crucificado. Mateo: Fue decapitado. Judas Tadeo: Fue asesinado a flechazos. Padre Orlando.
