BARBEQUE The communal bbq is situated in the pool area. Please ensure it is turned off, cleaned and the drip tray is emptied after use. BEACH Enjoy the luxury of having the ocean close by. Always swim safely and note that there are often strong surf conditions at Seven Mile Beach. Access to the beach is through the walkway from the backyard. We ask that you wash all sand off before you come back into the accommodation. BIN COLLECTION Please place all rubbish in the large bin provided in garbage building. This is located at the main entrance to the complex. There are also recycling bins (blue with yellow lids) these are located behind the letterboxes. BOOKS DVDS & GAMES You are most welcome to use any DVDs books and games (where provided). We appreciate you letting us know if any pieces or items are missing so that we can replace them for future guests. BREAKAGES All breakages must be reported to LJ Hooker. CHILDREN This is an ideal family holiday home and children, of course, are especially welcome. If there are any additional items you may need such as cots, highchairs, etc they can be arranged through Byron Bay Holiday Hire Ph. 0407 022 944. Also, please do be mindful of children when playing outside and ensure they are aware of local wildlife including snakes

COFFEE MACHINE The pods for the coffee machine can be purchased at Aldi in Ballina. Please ensure the machine is washed between use and that the water container at the back is always full before use. DEPARTURE Check-out is 10.00am on day of departure. Please ensure the dishwasher is clean and emptied and all appliances are clean upon exit. Additional cleaning charges may apply if these booking terms and conditions are not adhered to. When you leave the premises, please ensure all windows are closed and every door is locked – it is as important for protection against sudden storms as it is for general security. Please return keys to LJ Hooker Lennox Head. HOT WATER We try to be environmentally friendly and water wise, so please do be conscious of shower times. This will also help avoid running out of hot water. KEYS For security purposes, please do take care of your house keys as loss can result in charges to replace all locks. Remember to lock all doors when you depart. LIGHTS For the sake of the environment, please switch lights off when going out and ensure all lights are switched off prior to check-out. DAMAGES AND EXTRA CLEANING The premises are to be left in clean and tidy condition. Failure to do so will incur a charge for extra cleaning. Extra cleaning will be calculated at the number of hours required over and above the normal cleans. If a BBQ is provided it must be cleaned thoroughly on departure or a cleaning fee of $50 will apply. We request that you kindly leave the property as you found it (including washing dishes and removal of rubbish), to avoid extra cleaning charges. Any charges applicable for the above will be charged to the Credit Card we have on file. Furniture: is not to be moved and only outdoor furniture is to be used outdoors Garbage: All garbage is to be placed in the appropriated bins provided. Removal costs and tip fees will be deducted from the security bond if excess rubbish has been left by the guest

NO PARTY POLICY We have a NO PARTY POLICY. The person making the booking becomes the house manager and must occupy the property for the duration of the booking. The person will be responsible for the property and behaviour of all guests. The house manager must be nominated as the primary contact and take full responsibility to ensure that all occupants understand and agree to the rules. NOISE & NEIGHBOURS Please be aware that you are staying in a peaceful community where noise travels. Be respectful of your neighbours at all times and aware of your music and conversation levels. Noise levels after 10pm will incur penalties if complaints are received. SMOKING This accommodation is non- smoking therefore guests can not smoke in the property. If this policy is not recognised a significant room recovery fee may be charged to cover the extensive cost of restoring guest rooms to a smoke-free condition. SWIMMING POOL Please be mindful of other guests when using the pool. No yelling, screaming or dive bombing. No boogie boards or large inflatable toys are to be used in or around the pool. Please be mindful of your neighbours and ensure that noise is kept to a minimum. TENNIS COURT Tennis court bookings are to be made on the day of play only. Bookings can be for one hour duration only. Please erase your booking from the board after the game. The tennis court gate is to be locked immediately after play. Tennis rackets & balls can be purchased from BIG W Ballina. WASHING MACHINE & DRYER The property has a washer & dryer. The appliances are straightforward to use. Please ensure the lint catcher in the dryer is always emptied between each use. QUARTERDECK COMPLEX - HOUSE RULES These guidelines should be observed by all owners, guests and tenants.



 

No parking in the driveway area. Cars to be parked in unit garages. Parking bays are for visitors only. Garage doors must be kept closed at all times. Council requires boats and trailers to be parked in the street approximate to the Quarterdeck complex Consideration for residents, tenants, holiday guests is requested. Please do not slam doors or make unnecessary noise on the stairways. Please do not leave shoes or other personal items on landings at any time. Please put all rubbish in the large bin provided in the garbage building at the main entrance. Do not place any rubbish on the ground in the garbage building. The Health Department stipulates that both adults and children with transmissible diseases should not use the pool. This includes influenza. No boogie boards or large inflatable toys are to be used in or around the pool. Please clean the bbq plate and eating area after use. Place wrapped rubbish in bin provided Tennis court bookings are to be made on the day of play only. Bookings can be for one-hour duration only. If you see SMOKE, FLAMES or hear the FIRE ALARM, alert other occupants of your Block and Fire Officer (Unit 16) immediately. If safe, close any windows and doors to confine the fire.

Leave your apartment and proceed to assembly area located at the

front entrance of the complex near the letterboxes. TELEPHONE 000 and notify the fire service.



Hinterland Adventures MINYON FALLS The view from Minyon Falls lookout is simply stunning not only of the falls themselves but on a clear day you might be lucky to see all the way to the coast. From the lookout, watch as the flow cascades over Minyon Falls to a deep palm-shaped gorge roughly 100m below. The tops of the cliffs are forested with Australian eucalypts, like blackbutt and scribbly gum and at the base is a beautiful natural pool that was made for swimming Address: Minyon Falls Road, Repentance Creek (30 minute drive from Lennox Head) KILLEN FALLS Located just below the Emigrant Creek dam at Fernleigh is a spectacular waterfall dropping into a large, cool waterhole within a rainforest gully. Ferns and mosses thrive in the moist location, which is a well hidden jewel of Ballina Shire. The subtropical rainforest remnant is 2.7 hectares large surrounding waterfall. Once a part of the big scrub – a continuous tract of sub-tropical rainforest that stretched by Byron Bay to Ballina and to Lismore, now less than 1% of the original rainforest exists.
