CONTOH SNAKES Snakes are reptiles. They belong to the same group as lizards but form a sub group of their own. Snakes are not slimy. They are covered in scales which are just bumps on the skin. Their skin is hard and glossy to reduce friction as the snake slithers along the ground. Snakes often sun bake on the rocks in the warm weather. This is because snakes are cold blooded and they need the sun’s warmth to heat their body up. Most snakes live in the country. Some type of snakes live in trees, some live in water, but most live on the ground deserted rabbit burrows, in thick, long grass and in old logs. A snake’s diet usually consists of frogs, lizards and mice and other snakes. The Anaconda can eat small crocodiles and even wild boars. PENGERTIAN

TUGAS 1. What does the text mostly tell us about? 2. What is the main idea of paragraph two? 3. They also provide fiber … . What does They refer to? 4. Why do fruits not make us fat? 5. What is the purpose of writing the text? Fruits are a source of nourishing substances that keep us alive and healthy. For example, they contain many vitamins A and C, and many minerals, such as calcium, potassium, and zinc. They also provide fiber for a healthy digestive system and carbohydrates that the body needs to make energy. They don’t have a lot of calories to make us fat. People use fruits for many things. We make juices from them. We cook bread and pie with them. We make jams and jellies and sweets. We freeze them to eat later. We even make alcohol from fruit. Beer comes from grains, wine comes from grapes, and some brandies are made from plums, apricots, or other fruits. But most of the time, we don’t do anything special with fruits. We eat them fresh, just as they are!
