JORGE CABALLERO (CINEASTA) Coordinador de documental interactivo del Máster de Documental de la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. Director de las películas “Bagatela”, “Nacer”, y “Paciente”. Ha conseguido reconocimientos en festivales como BAFICI, Guadalajara, Alternativa Barcelona entre otros. Ha sido ganador del premio Nacional de Documental de Colombia en dos ocasiones. Sección oficial en festivales como Cinema Du Reel, Visions Du Reel, Biarritz, IFF Oslo, Munich, Malaga o Sydney entre otros. También desarrolla proyectos interactivos y transmediales como “Las Fronteras”. Beca de la Fundacio LaCaixa o “Speech Success”, Haiku Interactivo de ArteTV Francia y NFB Canada. SINOPSIS Nubia es una madre cabeza de hogar que al enterarse de la enfermedad de su hija se entrega completamente a cuidarla, enfrentando las dificultades propias del sistema de salud colombiano con perseverancia y entereza, siempre dispuesta a animarla con una sonrisa. Nubia encarna la valentía propia de todas las madres colombianas que diariamente cuidan, luchan y protegen la vida de sus hijos en hospitales y centros de salud, sin desfallecer. Nubia es Paciente. SYNOPSIS Nubia is a single mother who, after know of his daughter's illness comes fully take care of her, facing the difficulties of the Colombian health system with perseverance and courage, she’s always ready to cheer with a smile. Nubia itself embodies the courage of all Colombian mothers daily care, fight and protect the lives of their children in hospitals and health centers, without fail. Nubia is patient.

EL CUERPO BAJO SOSPECHA: Narrativas visuales y literarias de la enfermedad. Una jornada académica que brinda un marco diverso en

temática y ángulos de acercamiento al proyecto PACIENTE de Jorge Caballero, proponiendo la revisión de varios archivos literarios y de manifestaciones artísticas. Reúne un conjunto de ponencias que hablan del cuerpo, el cuerpo examinado, la condición de ser paciente, el cuerpo privado frente al corpus regulador del estado y las instituciones de higiene y salubridad. Invita a una revisión amplia que nos recuerda la insistencia del arte y la literatura en examinar el cuerpo y mantenerlo bajo escrutinio y vigilancia.

THE BODY UNDER SURVEILLANCE. This academic conference

provides a different frame in theme and approaching angles to Patient, a project of Jorge Caballero proposing a revision of various literary manifestations files and artistic performances . It brings together a set of papers that speak of the body, the body examined , the condition of being patient , the private body to the regulator body of the state and institutions of health and hygiene . Calls for a comprehensive review that recalls the insistence of art and literature to examine the body and keep it under scrutiny and surveillance.
