SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION

1.1GENERAL INFORMATION This New Hire Handbook is designed to let new hire familiar with most of the management/organizations and the system/application we use in a short time. These publications provide the information you need to make the most out of your working experience with RHB Insurance Berhad. You will also find information about the working department, facilities and services available at RHB Insurance Berhad, The Icon. It is your responsibility to read and be conversant with the rules and regulations stated in the above publications. You will be expected to have this knowledge when working at RHB Insurance Berhad.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday From 8.45 am to 5.45 pm with one-hour lunch break Friday From 8.45 am to 4.45 pm with one hour lunch break

Leave: Please inform manager/supervisor 2-3 days earlier when you plan to take leave, for example: car service, income tax. For emergency leave, which is something unexpected happen on your way to work (Ex: accident, tire puncture, etc.) please inform/call your manager/supervisor as soon as possible.

You shall bound by such rules and guidelines as may be issued from time to time by RHB Banking Group. You shall be bound and abide by the duty of secrecy to the Company and its customers. You shall therefore not during your employement with the Company, or thereafter divulge, reveal or disclose the affairs or accounts of the Company and RHB Banking Group. SECTION 2: GETTING STARTED 2.1 GETTING YOUR LAPTOP / DESKTOP Manager/supervisor will get your laptop/desktop ready in the first week.

2.2 SETTING UP YOUR STAFF ACCOUNT Your manager/supervisor will submit request to create your portaldom staff account (outlook account).

2.3 ACCESS CARD The manager will provide 2 temporary access card, 1 to enter RHB Insurance IT department and another 1 use to enter to the icon west wing.

2.4 APPS INSTALLATION Application or software you will need to use when testing.

2.5 VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORK [VPN] *Required justification & approval from your manager We need to connect to VPN when we need to use Diamond, GIS, Jenkins, mylink2HR, my1Portal, Workplace any other RHB related website or software. Only Microsoft Outlook can use without connect to VPN. Below is the step how to setup the proxy:

1. Make sure you turn on the proxy before you connected with VPN to access RHB related website like Diamond.

3. Click “Save” when you done the setup.

2. When you can’t access to RHB related website in a sudden you can check the proxy address is correct or not. This is the correct one: http://rhbproxy.intranet.rhbgroup.com/proxy.pac

4. Make sure you turn off the Manual proxy setup.

Connect to VPN step:

Click Connect

Your staff ID Total 12-digit password without space, first 6 digit is the password you already set up when your manager request a VPN for you, another 6 digit is auto generate by RSA application at your phone every time you need to use it.(last 6 digit will always be different and remember this 6 digit passcode can only last for 60 seconds)

Second password is the password you use to login to this laptop/desktop. Then click Ok.

If you couldn’t get to connect, don’t try over 3 times, at the 2nd times cannot connect you should request for help from your manager.

2.6 OUTLOOK You will have this pop-up message when your outlook account has been set up. Follow the below instructions to sign in to Microsoft Outlook, once log in, you can receive or send email in Microsoft Outlook as long as connected to Wi-Fi or personal hotspot, is not a must to connect to VPN when you need to send out email or receive email. 2.7 MYLINK2HR*only applicable for RHB Staff https://mylink2hr.rhbgroup.com/

You will need to go to confirm with your manager which learning courses are mandatory for you to finish, there’s a due date for you to finish. (Ex: Anti-Bribery and Corruption; Information Security Awareness; RHB AML/CFT Foundation (Malaysia); RHB Risk Culture & Awareness; Secrecy and Information Protection Training) these are the course are mandatory for everyone, you may confirm with your HR partner/manager.

You can check your salary by click on this and then choose ‘pay slip’

For other functions you may explore yourself, if you have any questions on this you may contact your HR partner (the one who in charge on your working placement). 15

3.1.2 GIS (ttermpro)

GIS is a place for us to do integration, generate policy number and so on (there are more functions), when we do testing we have to run it manually but in production (live) it will automatically run when an agent/or sales people enter all the details of the cover note and policy number will auto generated to them.

3.2 DETAILED BUSINESS REQUIREMENT [BRD] Business Requirements Document is a document that outlines the objective or the expectation of the changes/ enhancement/ instructions. In layman term, it describes the high-level business needs for the changes. Please connect to VPN to view this file.

3.4 TEST CASES A Test Cases is a detailed document that describes the test strategy, objectives, schedule, estimation, deliverables, and resources required to perform testing for a software product. Test Cases helps us determine the effort needed to validate the quality of the application under test. The test cases serve as a blueprint to conduct software testing activities as a defined process, which is minutely monitored and controlled by the test manager.
