Please try to dress nice for the occasion. Ladies should have their shoulders and backs covered and no plunging necklines or short dress/skirt lengths or shorts. Gentlemen should wear a nice shirt and slacks. If you are serving as a liturgical minister (This means: Ushers, Greeters, Extra Ordinary Ministers, Acolytes, Musicians and Choir Members) you are asked to set a shining example to the rest of the congregation. Please do not wear flip flops, tennis shoes, shorts, jeans or sweatpants. We appreciate your cooperation. Jamaica games coordinator is accepting volunteers to run a game booth or set up a new game. We have plenty of space available to set up new games. Attention Parishioners, Wanted: toy donations for the Jamaica games. Requesting gently used or new stuffed animals, (lg., med., sm.) and Beanie Babies. New or gently used toys from McDonald’s or from any fast food restaurant. We could also use money donations to purchase the prizes that game booths are short of. REQUIRED steps to complete the EIM process for all new applicants: 1. Submit (one time only) an EIM Application for Ministry prior to volunteering; or for new employees, within the first week of employment (a condition of continued employment). Submitting the EIM application (available online and in a paper version) permits the Diocese of Austin to run a background check and also creates an account for EIM administrators to record your workshop history. All sections of the application must be completed in order to submit it; incomplete applications are deleted out of the database periodically. New Applicant - Application for Ministry can be found at www.austindiocese.org 2. Attend a three-hour EIM Basic Workshop (within 60 days of application submission) that teaches participants about boundaries, warning signs, appropriate interactions with minors and vulnerable adults, how to respond to incidents and reviews diocesan EIM policies. [Note: New Applicants who have verification of previous workshop attendance in a different diocese may submit that verification to the EIM Office for review. This previous training may be able to serve as applicant’s “Basic”; they then need to attend a Refresher workshop to review diocesan policies and procedures and sign the Code of Ethics form. New Applicant only - will sign up for a workshop after submitting your application. Click on How to Sign Up for a Workshop. 3. You should check your own EIM account periodically to view the status of your application and verify that your workshop date has been recorded, or contact your parish/school office for assistance. You will not be contacted by the EIM Office unless there is an issue with your application or background check.

To Inspire Our Children And Youth. Our Religious Education Programs are still looking for volunteers who are willing to share their faith and their time. No experience necessary. Training is available. We need people in the following areas: Saturday’s: Ven ConMigo Spanish (1st - 8th Grades) Sunday’s: English & Spanish classes available for 1st - 5th Grades 1st Communion (all grade levels) And Come Along With Me Middle School (6th - 8th Grades English) High School (9th - 12th Grades English) If you are interested in volunteering please check the Austin Diocese website at www.austindiocese.org for available Ethics & Integrity Workshops and to submit an Application for Ministry. It is important to submit the application, then you have 60 days to take the class before beginning to teach. Lord, we thank you for this Parish and for all the years that San Jose has served the community. We celebrate our 75th anniversary. Our prayer is that you, Lord, will continue to bless us. Let the testimony of love that St. Joseph showed for Mary and Jesus be a help to our parishioners as we continue on our journeys to deepen our faith. Lord we pray that you will honor this parish and our parishioners and our commitment to You by granting us many more years of joy together. Amen.
