Lord, Make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

Mission Statement St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, Anderson SC was founded in 1943 by the Franciscans of the Holy Name Province, New York. The intention then and today, was and is to, in the spirit of Jesus Christ and St. Francis, minister in and with the African American Catholic community and to reach out to the African Americans of Anderson County. Furthermore, all who come to St. Mary’s from whatever background and ethnicity with a desire for Christian family will be regarded as brothers and sisters to us. We also see ourselves as called to live in Gospel relationship to the alienated and the poor of this community. If you are interested, please take one of the Easter Flowers donation envelopes (Envelope is good for both English and Spanish) located in the Church foyer to make a donation for your intentions. You can put the envelope in any collection basket during Mass now through Palm Sunday, March 20. If you use Contribution Envelopes, please remember to write your envelope number on your check & on the envelope. ST. MARY’S MEN’S CLUB BLOOD DRIVE St. Mary’s Men’s Club will be hosting a Blood Drive Sunday, March 20th from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM on the ANMED Blood Mobile in the Church’s parking Lot. ST. MARY’S ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT The Annual ST. MARY’S ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT will be SATURDAY MARCH 26 at 11:00 AM. We are asking parents of children participating in the egg hunt as well as the Church Community to bring candy-filled plastic eggs to the Church Hall by 10AM on Saturday, March 26. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SPRING 2016 BABY BOTTLE BOOMERANG FUNDRAISER We’re conducting a Baby Bottle Boomerang fundraiser from Mother’s Day (May 8) to Father’s Day (June 19) to support the Birthright Crisis Pregnancy Center in Clemson. Once again, we’ll need volunteers for bottle distribution after Masses on Mother’s Day and collection through Father’s Day.
