RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS The Religious Education office is open from 9:30AM to 2PM Monday thru Thursdays, Monday thru Wednesday nights from 6:00PM to 8:30PM and Saturday mornings from 9AM to 12PM. Please call (845) 429 – 8824 for more information. Both Confirmation parent meetings have passed. If you did not attend any of the meetings, you will need to go as soon as possible to the religious ed. office to receive important information and dated forms to be filled out. We have two first Communion meetings which are important” One is on November 15th in English and the other is November 22nd in Spanish. Both meetings are in the school gym and at 7PM.

Our first Christmas play practice and meeting was last Tuesday, November 8th. There will be two performances one on Saturday, December 17th at 10AM and the other is on Tuesday, December 20th at 7PM. If your child could not attend, but would like to still participate, please go to our office for more information. All are invited to participate. Please continue praying for our students. We all need to pray for each other.

THANKSGIVING TURKEY DONATIONS

Next Saturday, November 19th, our Food Pantry will be giving out bags of food for Thanksgiving. We welcome donations of turkeys, but our storage space for them is limited. If you plan to donate a frozen turkey, please call our rectory office before you bring it in order to make sure that we have space to store it in our freezer. St. Peter and St. Mary parishioners, who qualify at Shop Rite (Garnerville) for a free turkey ($400.00 in purchases), should get the turkey and bring it to the register. The cashier will process the transaction and give the parishioner a receipt indicating that they received a free turkey. The parishioner should then take the turkey along with their receipt and bring it to the courtesy counter. ShopRite will store the turkeys for pickup by food pantry staff early Saturday morning on 11/19/16. Thank you for your generous support.

MASS ON THANKSGIVING DAY

Mass on Thanksgiving Day (November 24th) will be celebrated at 9AM. We invited you to bring a food item to church on that day. This food will be distributed later in the holiday season.

DONACIONES DE PAVOS PARA EL DÍA DE ACCIÓN DE GRACIAS El próximo sábado 19º de noviembre, nuestra Despensa de Alimentos estará distribuyendo fundas de comida para el Día de Acción de Gracias. Estaremos muy agradecidos de las donaciones de pavos, pero el espacio con que contamos para guardarlos es limitado. Si está planeando donar un pavo congelado, favor de llamar a la oficina de la rectoría antes de traerlo, para así asegurarnos, que tendremos el espacio para guardarlo en el congelador. Los feligreses que califican para recibir un pavo gratis de ShopRite, Garnerville ($400.00 en compras), deben buscar su pavo y llevarlo a la registradora. La registradora procesará la transacción y dará al feligrés un recibo indicando que recibió un pavo gratis. El feligrés deberá tomar el pavo, junto al recibo que le han dado, y llevarlo al mostrador de cortesía. ShopRite guardara los pavos para ser recogidos por la Despensa de Alimentos, el sábado temprano en la mañana, del 19º de noviembre. Gracias por su apoyo generoso. MISA DEL DÍA DE ACCIÓN DE GRACIAS La Misa del Día de Acción de Gracias (24º de Noviembre) será celebrada a las 9 AM. Le invitamos a traer un artículo de comida a la iglesia ese día. PARISH MASS BOOK Our parish Mass book for 2017 will open at 9:00AM on Thursday, December 8th, in the rectory. Having a Mass offered for a beloved deceased person, for the needs of a living person or in thanksgiving for some favor or blessing is a practice that goes back centuries.

Next week’s collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) needs your help.
