RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS The Religious Education Program is open from 9:30AM to 2:00PM, Monday thru Thursday and Monday thru Wednesday nights 6:00PM – 8:30PM. Please call 429-8824 for more information. All sacramental information is past due. There were two First Communion Parent Meetings these past two weeks. If you did not attend either one, you need to go to the REP office for important information. The First Reconciliation Ceremonies are both on a Saturday th th at 10AM. On is on March 5 and the other is March 12 in St. Peter’s & St. Mary’s Church. The practice dates were given during the Communion meetings. There will be two important Confirmation meetings for the th candidate, parent and sponsor on Tuesday, March 8 in English nd and/ or Tuesday, March 22 in Spanish. Both meetings are at 7PM in the school gym. You only have to attend one of the two meetings. Please continue praying for our students.

MERCY DAYS OF LENT This Lent experience Mercy by joining us for a special celebration of the Year of Mercy with Cardinal Timothy Dolan. Hear from a Missionary of Mercy commissioned by Pope Francis, experience God’s mercy in the Sacrament of Confession, learn how to get involved in works of mercy. Events begin at 2:30PM. Everyone is welcome. For more information: www.archny.org/mercy . SACRAMENT OF PENANCE Lent is a special time of turning to God for healing and strength. The Sacrament of Penance will be available during Lent. On Saturdays time for Confession will be from 3PM to 4:45PM. We plan to have Penance available next Sunday, March 6th, between Masses and during Masses as necessary. In Holy Week on Monday and Wednesday there will be added opportunities for the celebration of this sacrament.
