The Company through its dedicated and well qualified team of Engineers & Technicians is the first choice of Maintenance Engineers for their wear related problems for over a Decade.

2.0) OUR BUSINESS We have organized our operation into three different activities (areas) namely: Machine Shop & thermal Spray Activity General & Special Fabrication Activity Industry Products Trading Activity The activities are all related to providing maintenance related solutions / services, but with a distinct difference in the mode of operations. Our business unit is equipped to be operated on a 24 x 7 basis if needed to combat unexpected emergencies in the Industries. We understand the essence of quality with the value of time, which is the key factor in reducing the downtime loss the biggest enemy of the Top Management in the Industries. The only reliable way to combat this enemy is to increase the Mean Life before failure of any component and this can be achieved by thorough study of the wear factors which affects the performance of the components. Our Engineers and Technicians have been trained to analyze the wear factor as well as the cause for the failure based on the input received from the customers and provide a cost effective solution in the form of Product (or) service to enhance the life of the components.

2.1)

Machine Shop & Thermal Spray:

Techno Service has State-of-the-art machine shop to provide quality service for the machine shop requirements of the Petroleum & non-Petroleum based Industries in the State of Kuwait. The company in the past has invested to increase its capacity in the Machine shop and have acquired various types of machines with varied capacities to meet the requirements of our valued customers. Our machinery fleet has the capacity to meet specific, accurate needs of the customer as well as mass productive need of the customer in a short time span. We strive hard to maintain the consistency in our quality and accuracy be maintaining the record of operational parameters for future reference if needed. We have in the past won appreciation from our customers for our effort in providing timely, quality service as well as substitution of export/ import service thereby saving a lot in terms of time combined with cost.

Thermal Spray Coating Thermal Spray Coating is an Adhesive Coating process which is carried out at a very low temperature, thereby avoiding the defects associated with excessive heat input on metals. It is a process in which finely divided Metallic (or) Non—Metallic materials as deposited at a very high velocity in Molten / Semi Molten state on a fully prepared substrate / component which results in a dense coating on the components.

Thermal Spray process are being used in the Industry for dimensional restoration as well as wear protective coatings as there are no metallurgical changes (or) deformation in the base material of the substrate owing to the low temperature when bonding takes place. The Low Temperature application of the Process (Process temperature is limited to less than 100 C) aids in avoiding Distortion at High Temperature, Metallurgical Changes which results in loss of Physical, Chemical & Mechanical Properties due to Temperature as well as Maintains the desired Properties of the Metal coating provided. The variables available in choosing the right metal for the right application reduces the cost factor as well as increases the Mean Life before Failure of components there by improving the overall cost economics. Techno Service has the State of Art “High Pressure—High Velocity Oxy Fuel Thermal Spray” as well as “Twin Arc Metal Spray Systems” from TAFA Praxair Surface Technologies, U.S.A.

High Pressure—High Velocity Oxy Fuel Thermal Spray (HP-HVOF):

Twin Arc Metal Spray:

HVOF is a high-velocity, low-temperature spraying process used to produce metallic and hard facing coatings. In the HVOF process, the kinetic energy of particles is more important than temperature. It uses high-impact energy to produce dense coatings at relatively low temperatures. T h e f u e l a n d o x y g e n a r e f e d i nt o a combustion chamber, where they mix and are ignited. Now under pressure, the mixture shoots out of the exit barrel faster than the speed of sound. A powder made of corrosion-resistant particles such as stainless steel or aluminum is feeded, which melts in the stream before re solidifying on the part being finished.

Twin arc spraying is a thermal spraying process that uses an electric arc between two consumable electrodes of the surfacing materials as the heat source. The wires melt in the arc and the jet of compressed air atomizes the melted metal and propels the fine molten particles to the work-piece. Bond strength achieved is in the range of 5000 – 7000 psi, Almost any metal that can be drawn into a wire can be sprayed. Following are metals that are arc sprayed: Ferrous and Non-Ferrous, aluminum, zinc, titanium, brass, bronze, copper, molybdenum, Inconel, monel, nickel, stainless steel, carbon steel, tin.

Robotized Spray Facility: Techno Service in its endeavor to provide quality coating services to the industries had Robotized its coating facility in Ahmadi to ensure high quality workmanship. The entire Thermal Spray processes are carried out by a programmable Robot which enhances the spray quality by maintaining the Spray distance & Speed of Travel which normally affects the coating quality and enhances operator’s safety. STATE-OF-THE-ART MACHINE SHOIP Techno Service has established an enviable reputation in the Market for its specialty in engineering efficiency in handling Critical Accurate Jobs at a shorter lead time. In the field Maintenance, time is the prime factor which decides the cost of the repair as the delay leads to shutdown / slowdown of process industry production. We have established confidence in our customers by executing critical jobs of high accuracy requirement within the time frame of our customers and have earned laudable applause for our efforts from the Maintenance fraternity in Kuwait.

We have put in our relentless efforts in updating our Quality System, our Machineries Fleet along with our Man Power skill towards meeting the requirement in the present technologically developed world. As a result of our relentless effort, Techno Service is now an American Petroleum Institute Q1 Spec certified workshop which is in recognition for the quality procedures we adopt and safety measures we follow at our workshop.

2.2) FABRICATION ACTIVITIES The activities of the Fabrication facility is in with the vision of the company in providing Maintenance related life enhancing solutions and in this endeavor, we have developed special techniques in Technical collaboration with Global players in the field of Special Metals. 2.2.1

SPECIAL FABRICATION

Loss due to wear factors is the most common problem faced by the Industries especially the construction industries. The nature of the material which is being handled in the Industry makes it prone for high wear rates due to abrasion combined with corrosion. Unlike petrochemical industries, abrasion is the most common wear factor which can be combated with harder material, thereby prolonging the life of the component. Working on harder material is a tough task and needs special skill / technique. With this unique technique, we provide fabrication solutions to the wear prone industries such as Ready Mix Concrete, Asphalt Ready Mix, Steel, Cement etc…. We have been the preferred fabrication house for the wear prone industries for the past one decade and have been providing wear protective components & structures to combat the wear enemy thereby reducing the downtime loss of the industry. REPAIR WELDING / FABRICATION

Cracks and breakage are commonly faced by the Maintenance department of any Industry. The failure may be due to overloading of the machinery or mis-handling of the machine. In general the repair was considered to be a non-reliable solution in the past. Owing to the demand in the Industry as well as a drive towards conserving our valuable resources, repair welding of broken / cracked machine parts is being adopted over three decades worldwide. In many cases, the abnormal lead time in supply also demands repair in order to reduce the downtime loss of the Industry. Techno Service has developed a special team to address this demand and had been servicing our customers over a decade. Our team of Engineers and Welders inspect the job, test the material with compatibility and provide permanent/ interim solution, thereby help the customer in reducing the downtime loss. We have successfully reclaimed/ salvaged/ repaired many valuable machine components made of various exotic metals such as Cast Iron, Aluminum, Bronze etc… which was otherwise rendered out of service.

2.2.3

General Fabrication

Since the facility is available for the fabrication of structures and components, we also provide fabrication services with general metals like Mild Steel in order to meet the demand of our customers. We have been applauded for our timely defect less fabrication service by our valued customers in the State of Kuwait. Today we have a moderate facility to produce around 250 Tons of General Fabricated Components/ Structures. We are identified for our customers.

INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS TRADING

In day to day maintenance field, availability of critical industrial consumable is a boon owing to the governmental procedures which are involved in any import. Techno Service with an endeavor to bridge this gap ha aligned with major global companies and bring their technologically advanced industrial products to the doorstep of our valued customers. Petroleum and Construction are the major industries in the State of Kuwait which influences the State’s economy. Techno Service has clearly understood the need of the above industries, brings in the products and services related to these industries thereby serving the maintenance fraternity of the industries.
