In Matthew 18;15-18, the Lord Jesus told us what to do. Silver is often mixed with other cheaper metals called DROSS. A silver pot would be very beautiful and expensive. A man might cover a clay pot with silver and it would shine and look nice. But of course it would not be of real value and especially if the silver was only a mixture. This proverb says that wicked heart can bring forth nice words, but it is like a pot which may appear beautiful but is really false.
