THE LIFESTYLE Wilberforce Court stands on the eastern edge of the city centre. Less than a hundred metres to the east is the River Hull, which feeds into the Humber just 700m to the south.

The area between is Old Town, an historical and often picturesque district that includes Hull Minster and a host of museums, gift shops and cafes.

Running through it is High Street, a narrow, cobbled street that runs parallel to the river. Wilberforce Court and Wilberforce House Museum stand at its northern end, and it runs south, past pubs, business premises, a National Trust property and several other museums.

KINGSTON UPON HULL Hull is an up-and-coming city. Having won the title of City of Culture for 2017 – 2021, it has seen a pronounced upsurge in its image and economic fortunes.

As a result, it has become an increasingly attractive place to live, and its population is rising. For young families, there are many ‘good’ rated schools in the area, and a well-regarded city college. Moreover, with easy access to the Yorkshire Coast and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, it’s a great place to raise children.

LOW LIVING COSTS AND A GREAT QUALITY OF LIFE

For those keen to acquire qualifications and build a career, the University of Hull is close by, as are numerous major employers. Over £1 billion has been invested in the city’s regeneration, and billions more are in the pipeline. Inevitably, job numbers are rising – many of them in high-growth, highvalue industries such as digital technologies and renewable energy.

Residents can therefore expect average living standards to rise steadily in the coming years. What’s more, since average property prices and living costs are far less than the UK average, buyers can expect to get far more for their money in Hull, and to enjoy a far better quality of life.

THE PROPERTY Bounded by High Street, Gandhi Way and Alfred Gelder Way, Wilberforce Court is a brand-new residential building created through the remodelling of a 3and 4-storey office development.

FEATURES AT A GLANCE The completed development will comprise of a mix of 147 studio, single-bedroom and two-bedroom units Enclosed private courtyard Undercroft parking: 50 spaces

The three main wings of the property encompass a private courtyard, where residents can experience the outdoors whilst also appreciating the quiet and secluded environment, whereas the concierge service offers peace of mind and security. It’s a true urban retreat. The development itself is the result of a complete re-working of the interior, though the property will retain its attractive brick and stone facades. Modern materials will deliver energy efficient living spaces throughout, and the use of light, neutral colours will help to create a sense of openness and modernity.
