Section 1:
INTRODUCTION Everyday Global
Everyday Global is a growing kingdom family of individuals, churches, bases, ministries, and businesses dedicated to God’s glory on the earth through a unified movement that loves God & people with all our hearts and that makes disciples in all realms--young & old, poor & rich, every neighbor & every nation. We are connected and held together by 4 realities: (1) God’s sovereignty that brings us together in relationship, with clear definition expressed in our (2) statements, our (3) strategy, and our (4) structure. Regarding affiliations, we’re a movement within a movement and a wheel within a wheel. Everyday Global is part of both Iris Global as well as Catch The Fire’s ‘Leaders Alliance.’ Currently, all Everyday expressions (individuals, churches, bases, ministries, and businesses) are supported and directly overseen by Everyday Global rather than by Iris Global or Catch The Fire. Everyday expressions are part of Iris Global and Catch The Fire through Everyday Global, not independent of Everyday Global. Everyday Global, Iris Global, and Catch The Fire are all part of the larger ‘Revival Alliance’ coalition.
Expressions
Before they launched the first Everyday Church, Mark & Cheryl Perry were busy bringing God’s kingdom, loving people, & planting churches, first as part of the Vineyard movement and later as an independent work. Everyday began as a single church plant in 2004 and now has three primary expressions: (1) local church planting; (2) regional initiatives; and (3) global missions. ® Local Churches The following timeline helps clarify Mark & Cheryl’s historical church planting chronology: YEAR 1991 1996 2001 2004 2012 2014 2016 2016 2017 2019 2019 2020 2020

HANDBOOK While church planting is wonderful on many levels, this chronology also reveals that church planting is very difficult. The success/fail rate is similar to that of starting restaurants, and the loyalty required to remain part of a movement is challenging. Despite that, we strongly believe in church planting & spiritual family, and we continue to seek God as we partner with new & existing church planters. ® Regional Initiatives By God’s grace, over the years we have birthed and stewarded several regional ministries and initiatives that have helped the Central Coast region and beyond. These include: ® CENTRAL COAST HOUSE OF PRAYER & VOICES HOUSE OF PRAYER: Over the years we have birthed two different versions of prayer movements here on the Central Coast, both with several churches involved and with great impact. We are currently re-designing VOICES to become a praise, prayer, prophecy, preaching, purity, presence, & power movement in our region. ® HOPE UNITED: This charitable 501(c)3 is a collective of justice initiatives aimed at solving societal problems at a practical, grassroots level. This is our second nonprofit, allowing us to fundraise & mingle within our community in a nonreligious way, thus creating a broader appeal. All nonchurch regional initiatives are ‘housed’ within this nonprofit collective. ® FREEDOM CALLING: Another one of our Iris Leaders School graduates from England stayed on the Central Coast to start this ministry to women who are & have been sexually trafficked. This ministry has several facets, including year-round education prevention at local high schools, oneon-one ministry to women, weekly ministry to massage parlors, a safe house for women to recover, and a restoration program aimed at truly helping these women. ® RACIAL JOY: We have been working for several years with a regional team on an expression of racial reconciliation to help combat the hostility so prevalent in our society over racial injustice, misunderstanding, and even differences. ® RESTORE BOUTIQUE: Started in 2018, Restore is our retail store aimed at helping fund other initiatives within Hope United. It includes fair-trade sourcing from 2nd & 3rd world entrepreneurs and profits given to benefit the needy. Restore is currently on hold as we await the opening of our café where Restore will be featured. It will also include an online store. ® GREENHOUSE COFFEE COMPANY: We are currently near completion of renovating a commercial space in Arroyo Grande to open a retail café aimed at reaching people with God’s love through excellent beverages, food, atmosphere, and a Spirit-filled staff. ® EQUIPPING CONFERENCES, SEMINARS, & EVENTS: Over the years we’ve invited and welcomed world-class speakers, ministers, and worship leaders to the Central Coast to bring refreshing, equipping, and impartation, including Heidi Baker, Rolland Baker, John & Carol Arnott, Lou Engle, David Wagner, Michael Brodeur, David Hogan, Danny Silk, Paul Manwaring, Jake Hamilton, Jason Lee Jones, Lindy (Conant) Cofer, Isabel (Allum) Skulason, Shawn Bolz, Chad Dedmon, Duncan & Kate Smith, Steve Witt, Marc Dupont, Mel Tari, Elijah Stephens, and many more. It has been our joy to share these special friends with the people of the Central Coast, always with a desire to help raise the water level of the Holy Spirit’s power in our region. 3

HANDBOOK ® Global Missions Our primary contribution in missions as Iris Central Coast has been to become an apostolic training & sending center for many who have gone around the world to lay down their lives & to serve Jesus. We have sent and/or supported missionaries in Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Nicaragua, India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Wales, and many other places in the U.S.A. Often, those we have sent have first been graduates of our global training initiative called Iris Leaders School. This school, started in 2013, has been instrumental in raising up & equipping missionaries both here in the U.S. & abroad to many nations of the earth. Our network called Everyday Global includes Everyday churches & plants in the U.S. and in India, as well as a partnering church in Wales that we invest in & have relationship with. Our heart is to continue to expand God’s kingdom through planting & establishing churches in the U.S. and in the nations of the world through sons & daughters who carry the DNA and heartbeat of this house. We are overseeing and caring for several locations and leaders. Section 2:
CONNECTION All those who have been birthed or adopted into the Everyday family choose to remain connected because of these four realities: (1) sovereignty; (2) statements; (3) strategy; and (4) structure.
Sovereignty
God’s sovereignty is His right and His power to do as He sees fit for His own purposes. God’s sovereignty has to do with His predetermined plan. When we think of God’s sovereignty, we immediately realize that we are acknowledging something much bigger at work than mere human ideas. God’s sovereignty means that God Himself initiated and arranged something. His sovereignty invites us to take events more seriously, because we can see His divine fingerprints on the activity in our lives. We recognize in Scripture that God sovereignly calls and joins people together for His purposes. He places His sovereign call on individuals, as when He called Moses to be the deliverer of His people and when He chose Jeremiah from before birth to be one of His prophets. He places His sovereign call on couples, like when God selected Rebekah for Isaac and when He created Adam & Eve for each other. God’s sovereignty also extends to natural and spiritual families. “God places individuals into family.” ~ Ps. 68:6 This verse applies to both natural and spiritual families. God sovereignly places people into larger groups, like the twelve tribes of Israel. Local churches are like families & tribes! Paul reinforces this reality when he tells the local church in Corinth that he is sovereignly joined to them by God: “It may seem like I’m boasting about our authority, but keep in mind that God gave us authority in your lives to build you up, not to harm you… We won’t boast beyond our God-given sphere, and that sphere includes you… We won’t go beyond our measured sphere—that is, the labor of others… I write this…to urge you as my dearly loved spiritual kids. Even though you have so many Christian teachers, you don’t actually have many fathers. Because of Jesus Christ and His good news, I became your spiritual father. So, I want to urge you all to imitate me.” ~ 2 Cor. 10:8-13 & 1 Cor. 4:14-16 In His own wisdom and timing, God brings together like-minded people to walk, to dream, & to work together as Everyday co-laborers & kingdom family. We call & ask those God joins to Everyday to walk in long-term relational loyalty as we build legacy together. Building together means that we’re in it for the long haul. We make the continual decision to keep pursuing & knowing one another in connection while avoiding isolation & potential offense by staying tender before the Lord & before each other. We are thrilled to see God bringing together so many great people into this Everyday tribal family! 5

Statements
Saying clearly who we are & what we’re about brings about greater unity so that we can run together (Hab. 2:2-3). We ask every individual, church, base, ministry, & business within the Everyday family to embrace & express the following statements that provide helpful, focused language for our movement:
® Our Identity: EVERYDAY
Identity has to do with our unique DNA & ‘the jersey we wear’ in the overall body of Christ on the earth.
Our identity is Everyday because it’s all about lifestyles of God’s radical love.
® Our Purpose: FAMILY
Purpose has to do why God raised us up & why we exist.
Our purpose is to model kingdom family and to reproduce it on the earth.
® Our Mission: TRANSFORMATION
Mission is God’s clear mandate to all churches & Christians, with room to each express it slightly differently.
Our mission is personal, regional, & global transformation in God’s manifest Presence.
® Our Vision: A MOVEMENT
Vision is a verbal picture of a desired future.
Our vision is a movement of intimacy with God, good news for the broken, and great family.
® Our Values: LOVE
Values are the unseen DNA pillars that shape the culture & heartbeat of a people.
Our values are love for God & people that is expressed upward, outward, inward, & forward.
® Our Goal: DISCIPLES
Goals are the point of activity, the end game of what we do.
Our goal is more & better disciples who are Biblical, supernatural, relational, & missional.
® Our Theology: KINGDOM
Theology is the study of God and all things related to Him. It forms the Biblical basis for all we do.
Our theology is all about the King & His Kingdom. We believe Jesus is King, & we seek Him first. (For more information on our theological convictions, please see our Statement Of Faith on the following pages.)

Our STATEMENT Of FAITH E V E R Y D AY G L O B A L
® GOD: We believe in one God who has existed for all time enjoying community as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This personal God is above all other gods and is the Desire of all humanity. 1 ® BIBLE: We believe the Bible is God's accurate communication to humanity, expressing in reliable, inerrant written record His love for us and His desired will for our lives. 2 ® FATHER: We believe in God the Father, who loves us like no other and who deeply desires our best. He is kinder, wiser, and stronger than any earthly father, and His unconditional, extravagant love is what we need in the deepest places of our being. 3 ® JESUS: We believe in the beautiful Person of Jesus Christ, fully God and also humanity as God intends for us to be. His sinless life and passionate, atoning death on the Cross have provided an amazing, life-changing opportunity for us to be saved from our sins and to be reconciled to His loving friendship and kind, steady leadership in our lives. 4 ® SPIRIT: We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, uniquely powerful and personal, separate from and far above the many other spirits today. He is the Bearer of good fruit and the Releaser of good gifts. We love and embrace all the true Holy Spirit gives and does in the lives of people. We make room for Him to be God among us as we are filled with His Presence and power. 5 ® PEOPLE: We believe humanity as individuals and as a whole has sinned, sometimes ignorantly and sometimes purposefully violating God's intended desire for our lives. This ongoing sin of humanity has created individual and collective brokenness, disconnection, and a chasm between us and God. Therefore, we need a Savior to rescue us, to restore us, and to transform us. 6 ® SALVATION: We believe people are saved by God's grace as they honestly admit their sins before God and as they turn from lesser things to God alone, trusting Him for salvation. This heart-felt repentance on our part results in a compassionate response from God called salvation, where God causes us to be born again, where He immediately begins a process of positive, genuine, internal change, authored by His Holy Spirit, who from then on lives inside us forever. 7 ® LIFE: We believe life is about relationship, first with God who loves us more than any other, and then also with others. Loving God and others are the two greatest commandments in Scripture. After having received the love & forgiveness of God for ourselves, it is right & necessary for our ongoing health to truly & continually forgive & release others for their offenses against us as well. As we learn to receive His love and then also to give it away as a lifestyle, our joy increases and knows no bounds, and our life becomes abundant as Jesus intended, even in the midst of suffering and hardship. 8

HANDBOOK ® CHURCH: We believe those who have received God's salvation in Jesus Christ are in His family. This family is called the Church, with Jesus Christ as the Head and with all true believers as members. There is one global Church with many local family expressions. We believe Jesus builds His global church by building local churches. The Father sovereignly places individuals into local churches as He sees fit. Identifying with Christ’s global Church is practiced through local church membership and participation where the ‘one another’ commands in Scripture are best lived out and expressed as we gather, grow, give, and go in the context of loyal church family relationships. 9 ® ETERNITY: We believe God has created a place for those who love Him called heaven. He has also created a place called hell for the devil, for demons, and for all others who want nothing to do with Him. We believe these are real places and that our choices here on earth have everything to do with our eternal destinies. We believe God is the merciful and faithful Judge of the earth, and therefore He alone is uniquely qualified to truly and fairly determine who goes where. 10 ® KINGDOM: We believe the message and ministry of Jesus Christ are good news to humanity. It is our glad task to share Him with those who are unaware of God's amazing affections. We are commissioned to expand His kingdom rule on the earth as we speak His Word and as we do His works of salvation, healing, deliverance, mercy for the hurting, and justice for the oppressed. When people experience His freedom and are made whole in body, mind, & spirit, God’s glorious kingdom is expanded across the earth through His growing kingdom family. 11 ® JESUS’ RETURN: We believe Jesus Christ will return to the earth as the triumphant King to gather His people, to bring final justice over evil, and to fully establish His glorious kingdom on the earth. We eagerly look forward to His soon return, and until that happens, we stay occupied by bringing His kingdom, on earth as in heaven, in every nation, to the glory of His Name. 12

Strategy
Strategy is how we accomplish our calling. It is our approach to fulfilling our purpose. As we gain more wisdom and revelation from God, strategy can change or be added to over time. Our general approach to strategy is simple & effective. • • •
We help people BELONG as family We help people GROW as disciples We EMPOWER people as servants
This 3-step process keeps people moving along a discipleship pathway. Here’s a bit more of what we do: ® Step 1: BELONG ~ We connect via intentional family gatherings like celebrations, groups, & events. ® Step 2: GROW ~ We develop people in the context of groups, rallies, & anointed ministries. ® Step 3: EMPOWER ~ We empower people to display Jesus in their lives & on our Everyday teams. In addition to our general strategy, we also seek God for His specific, seasonal, strategic direction. Here are some of the things we are sensing from the Lord for our Everyday tribe this year in 2022: •
We sense an invitation from God into a Year Of Miracles.
•
We’re in a time of rebuilding in our church’s history. We rebuild around 8 key realities: ® We commit to a first love lifestyle ® We burn for revival, so we build the local church ® We live with continual soul intentionality ® We communicate with excellence ® We lose our lives serving Jesus & others ® We embrace Scripture as our standard ® We value & honor leadership ® We successfully engage culture
•
We also have 4 strategic goals that we’re going after: o 1: INITIATE Spiritual STRENGTH - Spiritual strength is the engine of our church. All fruitfulness flows from intimacy. Spiritual strength is also vital for our victory. We initiate spiritual strength when we each have individual growth plans. We’re also rebirthing VOICES as praise, prayer, purity, prophecy, presence. , We’re also going after greater unity with an owner mindsets. o 2: INCREASE Church SIZE – It’s time for Everyday to grow. The Father wants His house full (Lk. 14:23). Jesus commissioned us to make lots of disciples (Mt. 28:18-20; Mk. 16:15). Like Paul, Christ’s love compels us to reach more & more people (2 Cor. 5:14). We know God causes things to grow (1 Cor. 3:6-7; Lk. 13:6-9), and we can help create a culture of growth with an outreach mindset and with better marketing, communication, assimilation, & connection. 9

HANDBOOK o 3: INSPIRE Leaders To SERVE When society retreats from commitment & sacrifice, God’s people step up in courage as servants of the Most High. We want to call & inspire Everyday people to lead. By God’s grace, we’ll keep developing world-class, anointed servant-leaders who are healthy & big-hearted. As we continually clarify our vision, and as we create effective onramps for serving, then we believe God will call the right people to lead who are self-motivated owners of our vision. o 4: IMPLEMENT Prophetic SHIFTS We’re living in a time when God is changing local churches to become what He desires, with less red tape & more green lights, with less administration & more execution, with fewer consumers & more contributors. We are cooperating with God’s process by moving from a staff-driven leadership model to an employee-owned company, by including more bodylife in our celebrations, by seeing groups as primary church, by celebrating members as they bring God’s kingdom, and by increasing our love in the midst of a broken, hurting culture.
Structure
Structure refers to a team of people who are connected in order to accomplish something together. Structure provides the feet to the vision through a unified army that brings victory. God brought us together to walk, dream, & work as a unified team. We have different roles on the team, & everyone is equally important & vital to our collective success. Structure includes ministry assignments, job descriptions, & reporting relationships so there is clarity, connection, & care. It is in the governmental aspect of church life where authority, responsibility, accountability, & improvement meet for increased church effectiveness. The following chart represents reporting relationships, and the yellow highlighted areas indicate current role vacancies for Everyday leaders to step into as we rebuild together: JESUS CHRIST

Section 3:
ACTIVATION When information is digested, owned, and then acted upon, it becomes highly transformational. Everything we have articulated so far is amazing when it is followed up by action. We mustn’t allow ourselves to read this document as observers from a distance. Instead, as committed team members and owners, we are the ones who implement everything God has for us. The process of getting involved is called ‘activation.’ In this section we will show you the practical onramps for your active involvement.
It Starts With ‘YES’
Activation starts with a resounding ‘yes!’ As you read and re-read this document, we ask you to do so prayerfully, through the eyes of faith, hope, and love. When you match your faith and your ‘yes’ to the promises of God and to the prophetic call on our Everyday family, synergy happens. So many of you have said ‘yes’ in the past, which we deeply appreciate. What we all need to learn to do is to live in the continual ‘yes’ of God, which is a daily reality. God wants us to each be owners of this vision! Let’s say ‘yes’ & keep saying it, beloved. As we say ‘yes’ over time, things happen, and momentum builds.
Activation Looks Like PARTICIPATION
Natural family includes family dinners, game nights, hanging out, going on trips, and doing chores, among other things. In other words, family looks like something. In our spiritual family called Everyday, family looks like something too! We’re asking you to continually participate in the activity of family: •
Sunday Celebrations: Our weekly celebration is like a family dinner where the family comes together and guests are welcome. Celebrations are like Thanksgiving meals, where we come together to celebrate and to give thanks. At these events, it works best when most everyone in the family participates and pitches in. Some family members are in the kitchen cooking. Others bring a dish to contribute to the meal. Still others clean the dishes after the meal. Sometimes people do a small part, like cutting celery or peeling potatoes. When everyone contributes to the Thanksgiving dinner, the eating is that much sweeter, because everyone ‘owned’ the meal by participating. The only people that don’t contribute at this level are the disabled, the younger children, and guests. This should also be true in our gatherings. Most everyone participates, and we serve those who aren’t healthy enough, mature enough, or who aren’t part of the family. We participate in celebrations by making our celebrations our priority and by showing up weekly (rather than monthly or sporadically). Hebrews 10:24-25 tells us that as we prioritize our gatherings, we encourage one another.
•
Groups: Our weekly groups are also gatherings, but in a different setting and with a different culture. Homes are places where we can relax and connect relationally, even more than in big meetings. In groups, we can take more time to listen to each other, to care for one another, and to minister to each other, both in hands-on prayer & in practical ways. Activation means being part of a group. Sometimes, there’s no group you’re interested in because God is calling you to start a group. J 11

HANDBOOK •
Rallies: Working together as a unified team requires another kind of gathering in the form of rallies. Rallies are gatherings based on doing common work while fighting against a common enemy. Throughout Scripture, we see leaders calling God’s people to rally together for strategic direction, for spiritual encouragement, for fervent prayer, and for unified momentum. When we rally, we win.
Rallies are vital for what we’re building. They include ministry team meetings, all-leader meetings, equipping times, congregational meetings, and so on. There is nothing more discouraging for leaders than when team members don’t show up for rallies. By contrast, it is an extremely joyful and empowering thing when God’s people rally to fight and to build together.
Things Accelerate As We SERVE
In local churches, everyone is meant to be in the family, and everyone can also be on the team. In other words, there should be no difference between family and team. However, local churches tend to look more like football games, with 65,000 people in desperate need of exercise and 22 people in desperate need of rest! This separation between consumer and contributor is solved when we all serve together. Serving simply means joining (or leading) an Everyday team. We all serve in other aspects of our lives— in our jobs, in school, in our families, and so on. Why not in our churches, which are our spiritual families? Here are some ways you can get involved serving at Everyday right now, in 2022: ® JOIN A Team Everyday has several teams where members are already serving and making a difference. You can easily join one of these teams and discover or re-discover the joy of teamwork in God’s kingdom. Here is the onramp information you need to step right into an existing team. Contact us! Activation Funds Ministry As We GIVE
God’s plan has always been to fund His ministry through His people. The generosity of God’s people has funded staff member salaries, building construction, utilities, & maintenance, outreach projects, socials, church planting, missions, special offerings, children’s ministry curriculum, classroom toys, community outreach, benevolence ministry to those in need, pizza at youth gatherings, training seminars & conferences, and much, much more. 13

HANDBOOK For centuries, Christians gave a tithe (10% of their income) at their local church, which is what funded all of these things. In addition, most Christians were also generous beyond their tithe, giving offerings as requested while also directly (and secretly) giving to those in need—what the Bible calls ‘alms.’ However, in recent years, some Christians have stopped or significantly reduced their generosity. There can be many reasons for this. Sometimes, Christians have been turned off by abuses, where leaders have used church money for their own gain. Other times, Christians have given in to the pressures of life. The ‘cares of this world’ can get ahead of God’s call to generosity. Still other Christians have mistakenly adopted a strange theology of non-tithing, which usually results in cheap, miserly giving. In this document, there is not space for an adequate teaching on the importance & validity of tithing today. We believe tithing (and giving offerings) is still God’s plan for funding His ministry, which is meant to occur primarily in & through local churches. We believe that once a Christian gives a tithe of his or her income to their local church & also participates in offerings, he or she is also free to give above & beyond their local church tithing & giving to also give to trans-local ministries, to missions work, & to individuals. If you’re not currently giving a tithe of your income here at Everyday, may I encourage you to ask the Lord why you’re not doing that? If it has anything to do with mistrust of local churches, one of our Financial Team is happy to meet with you & answer your questions. If it has to do with not understanding tithing & its purpose, we recommend the small but powerful booklet, The Tithe: A Test In Trust by Larry Kreider. You can order this booklet for $4.99 at www.store.dcfi.org. If you simply need a quick Biblical framework for giving, here are the primary points for you to know: ® God’s people have always been commanded to be generous, in both Old & New Testament. ® God’s people in the Old Testament gave 231/3% of their income to ministry; this was a command. o 10% went to the priests for salaries/provision & for tabernacle/temple (building) maintenance. o 10% went to provide for the 7 annual festivals in Israel, so people remembered & celebrated. o 10% was given every 3 years (i.e., 31/3%+ each year) to provide money to take care of the poor. ® In the Old Testament, giving was linked to the 3 different kinds of laws that governed God’s people. o There was MORAL law. For example, the 10 commandments are part of God’s moral law. o There was CEREMONIAL law. This had to do with the priesthood, festivals, sacrifices, etc. o There was CIVIL law. This was about the laws that govern every society—e.g., speed limits, etc. ® In the New Testament, Jesus specifically addressed each of these laws. o He ELEVATED moral law. For example, He said it wasn’t just about murder but even anger. o He ELIMINATED ceremonial law. He fulfilled the ceremonial law so He could eliminate it forever. o He ENFORCED civil law. He commanded His people to “Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s.” ® Scripture considers tithing a MORAL law, not simply a ceremonial law. Therefore, the NT elevates tithing to become radical generosity. Tithing is considered introductory to a lifestyle of generosity. o Tithing started before the law through Abraham as he gave a tithe of all He had (Gen. 15:18-20). o Tithes & offerings are brought to God’s storehouse: OT = temple; NT = local church (Mal. 3:8-12). o The only time Jesus affirmed the Pharisees was for tithing; He said to keep doing it (Lk. 11:42). o The other NT mention of tithing is in Heb. 7, which doesn’t eliminate it but affirms Jesus as God. o In moral law, everything is elevated. If OT generosity looked like 231/3%, what is NT generosity? o Early church believers gave the sale of properties to the Jerusalem church leaders (Acts 4:34-35). 14

Activation Looks Like TOTAL INVOLVEMENT
This is not the time for holding back and for hedging our bets. Instead, this is the time for to wholeheartedly follow our King Jesus as we also press into healthy church family involvement. In our country, many people have been deeply traumatized over the last several years, as we’ve all experienced major political unrest, huge racial tension, lots of media mistrust, surprising levels of hatred & polarization, and a massive global pandemic that has brought its own kind of devastation. God’s people are not exempt from these unusual times and the resulting challenges. As a result, many Christians have left local churches, and worse still, some have even left their Christian faith. As the stakes are getting higher, we are reminded of Jesus’ words to the church in Laodicea: “I want you to either be burning hot or fully cold. Being lukewarm is boring & distasteful, and I won’t be a part of it! So, for your own sake, make a choice!” ~ Jesus, Rev. 3:15-16 (paraphrased) If there was ever a time to double down and to push all our chips to the middle of the table, it is right now. Jesus is worthy of our entire lives! Jesus’ heart is that we would burn for Him. We love you, Everyday family! We appreciate you taking the time to read & digest this OWNERS HANDBOOK. Remember to ‘take action’ and to make this document a launching pad for your involvement.
