During the few years Festus has had a b:1seball team, it has made an enviable record. The team won the conference, the sub-district and the District titles in 1958. Eighteen gam~s were scheduled for the 1958 season but only 12 games were played. The other games were rained out and no opportunity could be found to make them up. Festus met Northwest for the conference title. Cleveland, who won the state tide, defeated Festus in the sectional tournament.
