APRIL 2023
We are BUSY, BUSY, BUSY these days and just completed the 1st Quarter of the year. Kudos to all as it has been a fantastic quarter from all perspectives. A favorite topic of mine is that of client relationships, client communication and the importance of building a solid and reciprocal rapport. JTS’s fundamentals Week’s 2, 3 and 4 speak to exactly those points. Happy Client…Happy Life! Speak honestly Build trust Honor clients Our RCM EBO team did exactly that and worked diligently in ‘Overcoming the Obstacles’ by embracing extensive collaboration, communication, and establishing a trusting and reciprocal rapport with the client demonstrating results. The RCM EBO team experienced their most successful month with our new Eastland Memorial client. The team did a tremendous job onboarding this client, providing process and technology solutions as well as simply getting it done. Way to go Team for the applications of expertise combined with pure determination. For a rural hospital system, every financial result increases the opportunity to improve the health of the community! As we move into the 2nd Quarter and the opportunities that come, we need to take the time to PLAN, PLAN, PLAN! Take the time to develop a high-level plan in place with a calendar quarter by quarter and then a more detailed month to month plan. You will be amazed how this simple tool can combat the day to day ‘in the weeds’ syndrome! Let’s SPRING into the 2nd Quarter and watch the opportunities bloom! -Tom

HR UPDATES Hi, my name is Donna Tarsa, and I’m coming up on my 7th anniversary this May in the EBO department at JTS Health Partners. I have 30 plus years of experience in healthcare. My certifications consist of ACPAR, CRCR, and I’m currently challenging my knowledge to take the CPC. I love collecting large amounts of money, with that said my favorite word is Collections! I will leave no stone unturned when following up on accounts.

I am originally from New Jersey and relocated to Georgia in 2005 with my husband Larry and son Gunnar. This June we will be celebrating our 29th wedding Anniversary. My son Gunnar is a UGA alumnus with a BFA in Drawing and Painting and still lives in Athens. GO DAWGS! He was recently chosen as this year’s event theme artist for AthFest Music & Arts Festival and the founder of Scribble Warlock. One proud Mom! So much for being a starving artist! Speaking of DAWGS, I have two wonderful pups Finn & Mumford, my puppy loves. The funny thing is I was a cat person, but when Gunnar left for college, he insisted I needed a puppy to keep me company. Along came Finn, my original Love Pup, soon after Mumford. So yes, I am a DOG MOM and I’m loving it. What’s a cat! LOL I enjoy live music, photography, taking pictures of musicians and my love pups. I am a Tequila connoisseur with my favorite being Don Julio. I enjoy taking care of my elderly neighbors, cooking, the beach, and spending time with my boys! Who would have thought this Jersey Girl would enjoy living life in the South!

Did you Receive an Odd Email from Tom? This message is simply a reminder for security awareness and informational purposes. Recently, many of you were sent a phishing text message as if it were Tom. Hopefully, this attempt was seen for the attempt it was – to engage you in a response for ill purposes now or later. As a reminder of JTS policy: 1. JTS leadership or team will never contact you after hours without a specific purpose that will be clearly communicated via phone call or company email. 2. JTS team members will not make monetary request via text, email, or any other means outside your job role. 3. Human resources (and most certainly not JTS team) will never contact you for updated banking information via text or email. If banking or other confidential information needs to be changed or collected, JTS policy requires that verbal confirmation must occur before information is sent or a confidential portal such as ADP will be used with appropriate credentials. Requests of you: A. Ensure MFA is enforced on any and all accounts you have the ability to enforce it upon (both personal accounts and otherwise). If you have not installed MFA on your LastPass account – please do so NOW (How to enforce MFA on LastPass). B. If you receive the text, Do not respond to the text & block the number. The security team takes all attempts such as these seriously simply because information was gathered and is attempting to be used in some way. Your reports of any incidents such as these are appreciated and support JTS’ endeavors to provide the highest adherence to privacy and security of both confidential and patient information.
