The STAR Team is always on the cutting edge! STAR Education is dedicated to being on the cutting edge of education and technology! Every year, STAR representatives attend and present at conferences all over the nation; we love learning new things that we can incorporate into our classes and bring to our students. We regularly send our technology experts to top-notch industry events, including Google I/O, Tech Crunch Disrupt, the Samsung Developer Conference and the Maker's Fair. It's always exciting to be there for the debut of brand new products before they hit the mainstream, knowing that we get to bring that information back to our STAR family! We also love meeting and sharing knowledge with mom and pop operations and even kid CEOs! Amazing partnerships and innovations have come out of these conferences, allowing us to

incorporate the new finds into our classes and programs. Over the years we have enjoyed bringing innovative technological advances to our NOVA classes and camps. We've worked with 3-D printing, Raspberry Pis, and several different types of robots! This summer, we introduced Aerial Photography using drones to our Movie STAR and Photography Camps. We so enjoyed meeting all the young CEOs with amazing inventions at the Maker's Fair that we created our own STAR Maker's Camp where the students got to create their own inventions! Now we're looking forward to bringing virtual reality to the classroom. Recently, one of our STAR programs had the opportunity to participate in

the Google Expeditions Pioneer Program, beta testing Google's virtual reality viewer. They virtually explored Borneo and Mars, then provided their feedback on what they thought would add to the experience and how to improve it. Additionally, through Samsung, STAR was able to acquire Virtual Reality 3-D Cameras, as well as software for editing and broadcasting images from those cameras. One day soon our students might even be able to virtually enter the world of Minecraft and inspect their amazing builds up close! STAR is always on the lookout for exciting new methods and products to take your children’s learning to the next level!

STAR NOVA invites ALL students to enroll in NOVA classes that are taught by experienced instructors who are specialists in their field. NOVA MEETING PlACE: BEll TOWER TABlES GETTING TO YOUR STAR NOVA ClASS Kindergarten Students will be picked up from their classrooms. 1st - 5th Grade Students will meet their teachers at the bell tower tables. AFTER YOUR STAR NOVA ClASS Students will need to be picked up in the main parking lot. K-1st grade students who are not in an after school childcare program MUST be checked out by a parent, legal guardian, or person authorized by their parent. 2nd-5th grade students will be released right after their Nova class by the pick up area. Please be on time to pick up your child because STAR is not responsible for your child before and after class. REGISTRATION FEE A $10 fee is required for each student PER SESSION to cover insurance and registration costs. This fee is non-refundable and is not applicable toward the cost of the classes. ABSENCES Please contact your STAR NOVA Director if your child will be absent. If your child is absent from school, it is school policy that he/she cannot attend STAR NOVA that day. REFUND POlICY 1. No refunds of any kind will be given after the first week of attendance. 2. We reserve the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment. Should such an event occur your money will be credited. 3. Tuition will not be refunded if your child misses a class, quits, or is asked to leave due to disruptive behavior. La primera mitad de la sesión, los estudiantes se centrarán en el diseño y la hechura de su propia patineta usando la pintura y las herramientas básicas de patinaje.
