About Us The Colts were the New Town of Cumbernaulds 1st youth football club when they were formed in 1969 and recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. Prior to 2012 the Club hired facilities all over the town but had nowhere to call home. In this year the club moved into its new home at Broadwood Stadium, this followed a huge capital investment awarded to the club by the Scottish Government via their Cashback scheme for Scottish FA endorsed football projects. This enabled the Club to contribute towards the replacement of the existing grass park and replace it with a FIFA Class2 artificial grass surface and secure a long-term lease and club base at the stadium. The club has three operating strands, a Semi Professional Senior Male Team who play in the Scottish Lowland Football League (SLFL), Scotland’s 5th tier with aspirations to attaining SPFL status. An extensive Community Football Academy which provides grassroots pathways for both males and females, and Colts in the Community which provides a range of community focused outreach programmes. These two community initiatives are delivered throughout the year at the stadium and within local schools to over 1,000 weekly participants including Assisted Special Needs/DisAbility sessions, partner school activity, mini-kickers and more.

The Club is the first Club in Scotland to achieve the SFAs Quality Mark Award (Legacy Platinum Level) accreditation. This is awarded to Clubs who demonstrate that they meet the necessary criteria from playing, coaching programmes, coach development, child protection, equality and club management. The award is an acknowledgement that we strive to provide both the highest quality and welcoming environment for young participants in sport.

In addition to our Platinum Quality Mark, we also hold an SFA Bronze Licence.
