Caridon Group have been awarded bronze for ‘Community Champion of the Year’ at The Negotiator Awards On Friday 25th November, the Caridon Group, added to its accolades, achieving bronze out of a shortlist of 27 companies for ‘Community Champion of the Year’ at the Negotiator Awards. Established in 2008, The Negotiator Awards has become the most prestigious awards ceremony in the property industry calendar, growing in popularity and stature every year, with this year receiving the largest number of entries so far. The organisers said the quality and stories within the Community Champion category and the Sustainability category, which grew in entries in its second year, really demonstrate that this is an industry that thinks bigger and considers their impact and how they can benefit the people and places around them.

MARIO'S 50TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

On the 8th December we hosted a surprise birthday meal in Atesh to celebrate Mario's 50th Birthday. Lora organised a slideshow of memorable moments and birthday video messages from staff. Susan created a crochet super Mario which was sent around the sites so everyone could have a picture taken!

In the past couple of months Caridon have been busy with donations to charities. Staff dropped off various food, toiletries and gifts to The Easter Team (Crawley), Crawley Open House and Harlow Food Bank. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the purchase and distribution of donations. Ian Wilkins from COH sent Caridon a certificate of thanks:

For the Christmas festivities, Susan put together 208 gift bags and 208 sweetie bags for children on site, ensuring that all children receive something this Christmas. Santa went to deliver the gifts, with each child receiving a bag of sweets as well as a gift bag containing a mini doodle pad, twisty Christmas straw, crayons, stickers, Christmas colouring sheets. Thank you to all staff involved in making the holiday period special for the children!

“I’ve done this for a few years now, and I know last year that some of the mums said that they were struggling so much financially that these were the only presents their children would receive. Knowing things are even more financially challenging this year for everyone, this spurred me on to make sure we not only provided a gift but added a little extra. We hope to build on this each year to ensure the children never go without a gift. My husband is still working from home and has become good friends with the Amazon delivery man whilst taking in all the parcels! It’s been like a military operation co-ordinating everything, but very rewarding to see the gifts going off to the children.” - Susan Passman

CF Tenant Christmas Party The Caridon Foundation hosted a tenant Christmas Party from 12pm5pm on December 15, 2022, at the main street building in East Croydon. Many Croydon, Brent, and Windrush tenants gathered to celebrate Christmas . The purpose of this event was to provide tenants with a fun and festive evening during the Christmas season. Through this occasion they can build new friendships & know that they are valued in the community. During the party, we played prizewinning games, held a raffle, and distributed clothing donations. We collaborated on the clothing donation with @KBDPROMO and the great Christmas meal with @Sinnimonfood. Many of the tenants received Lush bath bombs as prizes. The tenants also performed songs written especially for the Christmas party. Many tenants conveyed their gratitude and enjoyment of the day.
