FORMATO DE MOCIONES – FORMATO DE MOÇÕES - MOTION FORMAT En este documento se presentan ejemplos de mociones recogidas en la RR2006. Uno de las mociones ejemplo tiene implicaciones económicas y otra muestra cómo fue sujeta a modificación amistosa durante el proceso de discusión (modificación escrita en rojo). Neste documento se apresentam exemplos de moções recolhidas na RR2006. Um das moções exemplo tem envolvimentos econômicos e outra mostra como foi sujeita a modificação amistosa durante o processo de discussão (modificação escrita em vermelho). In this document several motion examples collected in the 2006 R9 Regional meeting are presented. One of the example motions has financial implications and another shows the modification introduced (red text) with a friendly amendment during the discussion process.

Dates for RR2007

Our Candidates are homologated during the Regional Meeting. Dates must be coordinated. ACTION IEEE Region 9 – March 2006 SUBJECT: Elección de 2 miembros titulares y dos substitutos para servir en el comité de Nominaciones y Designaciones para la selección de Pre-candidatos a DR Electo. FROM: Francisco Martinez, Region 9 Pasado Director ____________________________________________________________________ EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: El Comité de Nominaciones es presidido por el Pasado Director (Francisco Martínez) y sus demás integrantes son los otros dos Directores pasados mas recientes (Hugh Rudnick y Pedro Ray) así como dos miembros mas elegidos por el Comité Regional. Los dos miembros del Comité son integrantes ó ex-integrantes del Comité Regional, designados por elección de sus miembros entre aquellos que no hayan sido Directores Regionales. PROPOSED ACTION: (required for Action items only) Eligir en la RR 2006 a dos titulares y dos alternos. En el caso de que un titular decida ser presentado como pre-candidato o exista un precandidato perteneciente a la sección de un titular, deberá renunciar y dar entrada a un alterno.

ACTION IEEE Region 9 – March 2006 SUBJECT: Creation of R9 IB&SC committee FROM: Jorge Him, IB&SC R9 representative ____________________________________________________________________ EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The IB&SC R9 representative is working in offer a future proposal of insurance and credit cards for R9 members. If this occur will be necessary administrate the members information and do some marketing actions.

PROPOSED ACTION: (required for Action items only) To create a Region 9 committee that serves like a link and support between the IEEE IB&SC and the future Finantial Advantage Program in Region 9.

Approval of Rio de Janeiro Regional Meeting

FROM: Antonio Doria, Student Activities Chair – presented by E. Tejera ____________________________________________________________________ EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Proposal is made to request Sections to provide support for student’s participation in Region 9 Student Branches Meeting 2006 PROPOSED ACTION: It is suggested that all Sections in the Region provide support for the participation of at least one student representative to the Regional Student Branches Meeting 2006. Every Section could establish the way the beneficiary the way the Section Hill be reimbursed. will reimburse the Section. Cada Sección podrá establecer la manera en que el beneficiario retribuirá a la Sección.

Financial Implications • Sections deciding to support the participation will be required to allocate funds for this participation. • Funds can come from activities organized by students themselves. Other Implications • It will show solidarity with the major group of members in the region. • Lot of resources have been invested, time and money. The success meeting is based on the participation of students • The majority of member in the Region are students.
