1 Narrador/A: Welcome to our play, El dia de los Abuelos. A school is having Grandparents’ day. Grandparents come to visit and they observe a regular day for the children at school. However, there is a special presentation for them and they will watch a play: The Three Little Pigs. They will also end up the day with CHOCOLATE!! We hope you enjoy the play! Thank you for coming! Escena 1: (Teacher is in classroom awaiting students and visitors. 2 Escena2: Clase de lengua Narrador: The teacher starts with their daily activities and the other teachers come in. It’s time for spelling!. Fortunately, spelling is easier in Spanish. Some students don’t like very long words, but there is one they really like. Profesora: Queridos abuelos, esta es nuestra clase. Estas son nuestras actividades hoy. Primero tenemos clase de lengua (MAKES THE INTRODUCTION GESTURE). Maestra: Hola Señores Gómez. Me llamo Señora Lidia. Soy la maestra de lengua. Abuelos: Mucho gusto Maestra: Vamos a escribir. Profesora: Clase, el maestro de matemáticas está enfermo hoy. No hay clase. Clase: (excited) ¡Biiieeen! Abuelo: (excited too) Yo soy maestro de matemáticas. ¿Puedo dar la clase? Profesora: No sé…. No sé…. Soy el maestro de educación física. Abuelos: Mucho gusto Maestro: ¿Están listos? Muy bien. Vamos a calentarnos. (students leave, costumes for next scene) Hijo: ¡Hola abuelos! Mira mi títere Hijo (con el titere a los abuelos): Hola ¿Cómo te llamas? Abuela: Me llamo Pepa ¿Y tú? Hijo: Me llamo Elias Abuela: ¿Cuantos años tienes? Hijo: Tengo nueve años Abuela: ¿Cómo estás? Hijo: Estoy feliz ¡hay un teatro!

8 Escena 9: Los tres cerditos Olaya Narrador: Now the students present their play for the visitors. Their play is Three Little Pigs Cerdito menor:

Estoy muy feliz. No esta lloviendo. Voy a construir mi casa (works on his/her house).

Estoy muy bien hoy. No esta nevando. Voy a construir mi casa. (works on his/her house).

Cerdita mayor (Clara):

Estoy muy contenta hoy. No hace viento. Voy a construir mi casa. (works on his/her house).

Lobo (in other area of the stage):

Estoy muy mal. Tengo hambre, tengo MUCHA hambre (rubs his belly).

Cerdito menor:

Esta es mi casa (point to it). Es de paja. Es muy bonita.

Cerdito mediano:

Esta es mi casa (points to it). Es de madera. Es muy resistente.

Cerdita mayor:

Esta es mi casa (points to it). Es de ladrillo. Es muy fuerte.

Lobo:

Tengo hambre (rubs his belly). Necesito comida.

Presentador:

The wolf looks for food and he finds the three little pigs dancing and singing.

Cerditos 1, 2, 3: (Singing: En mi cara, redondita, tengo ojos y nariz, tengo orejas, y tengo pelo, y una boca, para hacer asi ….) Lobo:

¡Hola, cerditos! ¿Cómo están?

The three little pigs run to their houses to hide from the wolf. (picking from behind the card with the desk) Estoy detrás del escritorio. Estoy seguro.

Tengo hambre, ¡uno, dos y tres! (he blows really hard and Cerdita menor runs to her sister’s house)

Presentador: The wolf is getting very tired, and very hot too. Lobo:

Tengo calor, tengo sueño y tengo hambre. Necesito una siesta.

(Cerditos come out of the house) Cerdito menor:

(happy) El lobo no esta. ¡Qué bien!.

Cerdito mediano:

Ya no tengo miedo. Tengo hambre.

Cerdita mayor:

Yo tengo tacos. (They start preparing tacos).

Presentador:

The wolf wakes up with the smell of tacos.

Lobo:

Ya no tengo sueño, no tengo calor, pero si tengo hambre (he walks to the cerditos).

¡Oh, no!. ¡El lobo otra vez! (scared).

¡Vamos a mi casa!.

They invite the wolf to eat tacos and they all dance together.
