he Feast of the Holy Family is meant to include US in that family, too. When we think of this feast, we tend to think of Mary and Joseph and Jesus riding donkeys to Egypt-simply because it's the Gospel for this Sunday, but the family of God is broader than those three. It's even broad enough to include you and me! And if it can include US, with all the messiness WE bring, surely it can include all struggling humanity. So consider yourself, today, a prince or a princess in the Household of the King of Kings. And let us pray that our lives will reflect the dignity of that office. Fr. a Festividad de la Sagrada Familia también nos incluye a NOSOTROS como familia. oday we see a young Holy Family faced with trials and tribulations. If we take the Holy Family as our model, then it seems that holiness – whole¬ hearted dedication to God’s will for the world – is likely to make one’s life more uncertain, not less. Yet doing the will of God is of such surpassing worth that we should be willing to embrace such uncertainty for its sake. So many of our own families face troubles and trials, yet have the faith to keep going knowing that they are following God’s will. This isn’t so easy, yet If we trust and let God lead us, we can. As we look towards a New Year, let us ask God for the graces and helps to know His will and have the courage to follow it in our lives. oy vemos a una joven Sagrada Familia que se enfrentan con pruebas y tribulaciones. Our last Saturday of classes brought us to our traditional Posadas. It has truly been a year full of blessings, new projects, and some challenges but mostly filled with much joy and hope to see their children attend their catechism classes excited to learn more about God, His Church and their community.

El último sábado de clases, hemos tenidos nuestras tradicionales posadas. Ha sido realmente un año lleno de bendiciones, nuevos proyectos, y algunos desafíos pero sobre todo lleno de mucha alegría y esperanza al ver que sus hijos(as) asisten a sus clases de catecismo entusiasmados para aprender más de Dios, de su Iglesia y de su comunidad.

Our ministry would not be the same without you. I pray that as we grow as a family and community we look to these youth with guidance, care and love because they are the future of St. Agatha. Millions of toys are out there, and hundreds of new ones hit the stores each year. Toys are supposed to be fun and are an important part of any child's development. But each year, scores of kids are treated in hospital emergency departments for toy-related injuries. Here are some general guidelines to keep in mind when toyshopping: Toys made of fabric should be labeled as flame resistant or flame retardant. Stuffed toys should be washable. Painted toys should be covered with lead-free paint. Art materials should say nontoxic. Crayons and paints should say ASTM D-4236 on the package, which means that they've been evaluated by the American Society for Testing and Materials.
