It will also help us reveal the most special, priceless, and unforgettable moments we experienced at this esteemed institution. The essence of our magazine is a reflection of the creativity and accomplishments of our students. We're very happy with how close we've become to one another this year! This year absolutely sped by. Who knows what awaits us in the real world? OUR CLASS TEACHER Dear parents, Greetings from NAWIS! We had a difficult time adjusting to the virtualization of education and faced many challenges. But now that we are back in physical, in-person classrooms, we can see a swarm of happy smiles. Our students have eagerly participated in several activities hosted by the school, with so much on the line in the wake of this catastrophe. This newsletter for the academic year 2022–2023 acts as the school's mirror, reflecting student activities and showcasing their many accomplishments. PARENT TALKS Among a mushroom growth of institutions in town, this is where NAWIS stands out from the rest. I can confidently say that the school is not only equipped with the state of the art infrastructure, the latest and most advanced curriculum but also provides a platform to the students by conducting outstanding programmes and activities. A BOOK REVIEW- HARRY POTTER & SORCERER’S HOME For people who want to enjoy an intriguing, fast paced novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is the perfect book to read. It keeps you involved throughout the book as most chapters have cliffhangers at the end. This novel is the first of the seven famous Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling. The book is about 11 year old Harry Potter, who receives a letter saying that he is invited to attend Hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardry. He then learns that a powerful wizard and his minions are after the sorcerer’s stone that will make this evil wizard immortal and undefeatable. Harry decides to go after the sorcerer’s stone before the wizard reaches it, but his loyal friends, Hermione and Ron don’t let Harry face this danger alone. This book is full of fantasies and imagination like at one point, Harry Potter is asked to catch a flying golden ball while flying on his broomstick. Eventually Harry Potter stands on his broomstick and tries to reach for the ball, but he falls off the broomstick in a very tense moment. He unexpectedly throws up the golden ball winning the game for his team. Harry Potter and a sorcerer stone is a good book to spark joy and imagination for anyone, regardless of age. But I would say it is most enjoyable for elementary school students, who can very well relate to the fantasy world. So I would say that it is a must read for younger audiences, but it’s a good read in general. Zainab Usman

NAWIS COMMERCE ASSOCIATION NAWIS Commerce Association is always at the forefront with a plethora of career- cognate workshops, seminars and discussions to give a positive exposure to the students. To demystify the decenniums-old misconceptions in stream culls and career expectations, Commerce Association hosted a virtual Seminar on PITFALLS IN STREAM CHOICES & A ROADMAP TO SUCCESS. The eminent CIGI expounded the importance of making a sapient choice in academics and the latest transmuting trends in career exploration. All students had enthusiastically participated in the session and construed their obsessive dilemmas in stream cull. The seminar made the students to verbalize their requisites, interests and aspirations and paved the way to set the personalized goal for their days to come. The felicitous seminar inseminated a ken among the students on the career bounded courses and institutions all across the globe.

With an incredible haul of 7 individual awards and the Overall Champion Title, STUDENTS’ MUN at Peevees Public School, Nilambur, India turned out to be one of the most memorable editions of model united nations for the 7-strong New Al Wurood contingent. From UNGA and UNSC to UNICEF, all the seven delegates from New Al Wurood excelled for individual podium finishes. B.E.S.T schools in KSA - New Al Wurood, Jeddah and Al Khozama, Dammam rolled out their preeminent MUN programme beyond the boundaries of the Kingdom for the first time. 150 student delegates representing 50 nations from 24 schools across India and Middle East brilliantly engaged in the three committees. The two-day long sessions evolved a community of dynamic and world-changing young minds - the global leadership of tomorrow. Here's a look at the Award Winners: 1. EDUCATIONAL TRIP- EFFAT UNIVERSITY On 31st of October 2022, the Nawisters of Grade 11 and 12 girls section, paid a visit to the esteemed Effat University, exploring the opportunities of excellence where we were welcomed by Mr.Zain Balfaigh and Ms. Akila Sarirete and team who instilled a special attention within the students towards the fields of Electricals, Engineering, Computers, Management and so on. Students zealously enquired regarding their areas of interest! And got a fabulous opportunity to take a tour of the entire campus.

Children must take part in sports because it is essential for their fitness, health and positive overall development. NAWIS Celebrated the 24th Annual sports meet along with the closing ceremony with immense strength and sportsmanship of the youngsters

HOME ECONOMICS~Stitching Home economics fosters responsibility. It helps students to apply the skills they picked up in class to their own lives. It let us acquire new skills and also made online school more fun, such as crafts, modeling the cardboard, and creating a mobile journal.
