Introduction to OFA I

With OFA, all forms of archival material can be rapidly and efficiently searched for. This comes after OFA gained the ability to conduct centralized searches across the COMPASS, AMS, and MAMS systems used to hold historical materials of various types and formats. NAM was able to develop and improve a sophisticated online search engine initiative through OFA that attracted the interest of the general public and researchers. Each collection has a thorough group listing of the archival materials it contains. A level of description (ISAD(G): General International Standard Archival Description) is also taken into consideration while listing and describing the resources. The kind of finding help for the series, collection, or record group being described. Finding aids also include official publications that direct visitors to details about a certain record group, collection, or series of archive items. NARA, other federal agencies, publishers, and private businesses can all produce finding aids. Introduction to OFA

History History of Sultanate Pahang II

The state of Pahang, on the east coast of West Malaysia, is home to a subgroup of Malays known as the Pahang Malays (Melayu Pahang). It is bordered to the east by the South China Sea, to the north by Kelantan and Terengganu, to the west by Perak, Selangor, and Negeri Sembilan, and the south by Johor. They comprise 70% of Pahang state's population, or roughly 1.08 million people, making them the state's dominant ethnic group. In Malaysia, there are nine Malay monarchs, hence the head of state is chosen by the Council of Kings from among them. The current king of Malaysia, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, is from the Pahang Sultanate, whose history began centuries ago.
