PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE I feel honoured and privileged to be part of Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Uttarlai where every member is a learner and every day is an opportunity to learn and discover. Educational technology has permeated all areas of life. Our endeavour is to integrate technology and its range of application 'throughout the classroom' in an attempt to improve the quality of learning instruction. Each learner has different strengths with different learning needs, and it is important to identify those needs to maximise learning. To achieve this, we emphasise on providing a conducive learning environment. For that we encourage active and practical learning. These activities provide a platform for students where they can relate what they are learning at school with the real world. Once the children get to know that everything they are learning is a part of their daily life, then according to me that learning will maximise because children will now be learning out of curiosity. The school has made tremendous progress in all areas scholastic and co-scholastic relevant to primary students. This newsletter is an assemblage of all the activities conducted under CMP. It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Uttarlai to bring out the newsletter. Primary education lays the foundation of the physical, intellectual and emotional growth of the children. The Common Minimum programme enables us to bring qualitative improvement and development in the teaching learning process. The school has made sincere efforts towards publishing the CMP newsletter. I congratulate the editorial team of this newsletter for accomplishing the task in record time. Also my heartfelt congratulations to staff members and students for their fruitful effort. I hope that this small piece of technical work will develop a sense of belonging to the school. MESSAGE FROM PRIMARY INCHARGE I consider myself privileged to be associated with Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Uttarlai. The Common Minimum Programme in the Vidyalaya is being followed keeping the norms set up by the KVS in teaching learning process in primary classes. The CMP has given a sense of direction to all the primary teachers as well as the school administration. The children are encouraged in each and every field and are given more exposure to participate in co-curricular activities, which in turn build confidence in them. The film shows , PowerPoint presentations, dramatizations, role plays, etc. are making the teaching learning process very interesting and motivating for the children that they come forward with their own creative ideas. This Newsletter will reflect the clear picture of all sorts of activities undertaken by the Vidyalaya. The wide spectrum of activities in different sections gives me a sense of pride that our students and teachers possess creative potential and original thinking in ample measures. Commendable job has also been done by the Editorial staff in planning for and producing the Newsletter. My congratulations to the team who took the responsibility for the task most effectively. All the efforts are being taken by the school administration as well as the enthusiastic team of primary teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Uttarlai to improve and strengthen the quality of primary education in the primary.
