Los Benchmarks corresponden al cálculo de tasas promedio ponderadas provenientes de la consideración de transacciones efectuadas en rueda sobre algunos instrumentos emitidos por el Banco Central de Chile y la Tesorería General de la República de Chile y de transacciones spot efectuadas en el mercado interbancario OTC-Tasas. Sobre estas transacciones consideradas, se aplica un filtro de cantidad, tasas máximas y tasas mínimas. Benchmarks are weighted average rates of on floor and OTC market transactions of specific Central Bank and Treasury Bonds. However, these transactions have to pass some filters related to size amounts and ranges of interest rates before determining the benchmark rates.

Los índices de renta fija permiten el análisis de la rentabilidad en pesos de una inversión efectuada en Bonos Bullet en UF del Banco Central de Chile (BCU), con plazos al vencimiento en torno a los 5 y 10 años, respectivamente, considerando variaciones de valor tanto por cambio de tasas de mercado como por pago de cupones. Actualmente, estos índices se encuentran conformados por BCU con vencimiento entre 1.432 y 2.012 días y entre 2.930 y 3.842 días para los índices CENTRAL 5 y CENTRAL 10, respectivamente. Las tasas a las cuales se valorizarán las carteras de los índices corresponden a las tasas de mercado que establecen los benchmarks UF-05 y UF-10, respectivamente. La fecha base de los índices es el 31 de diciembre de 2002 con un valor de 1.000 puntos. Bonds indexes allow the analysis of portfolios compound by Central Bank and Treasury bonds with term to maturity of around five and ten years, considering market value and payments of coupons to calculate total profits. Nowadays, CENTRAL 5 and CENTRAL 10 indexes consider Central Bank Bullet Bonds with days to mature between 1,432 and 2,012 and 2,930 and 3,842 respectively. To determine portfolios values, interest rate benchmarks UF-05 and UF-10 are taking into consideration. December 31, 2002 was the base date, starting with a value of 1,000 points.
