Master Your Aptitude is initiated at Vels Global School (VGS) as a foundational learning and preparatory platform for primary students to equip with skills and aptitude required to face future competitive examinations. Independence Day Ceremony The Independence Day has a special place in the heart of every Indian. Not only does it symbolizes the celebration of wonderful years of freedom but also extends an emphatic message of the progressive future of our country. The 75th Independence Day of our motherland India, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor by young Manthanites. This year we celebrated as – “ Azadi ka amrith utsav”. The little ones paid their respect to the tricolor and sang “Saare jahaan se accha” along with their teachers. Students of Nestlings & Fledgings’ performed many dances, Fancy dress acts and mass drills gracefully and enthralled everyone present. The celebration ended with the National Anthem being sung by everyone. This event was full of patriotism and enthusiasm that kindled a sense of love for our country within the children. It also reminded us of the immense sacrifices of those who gave up their lives for the freedom of India

Trips, Visits and Excursions Our school organizes excursions and field trips every year to help students gain first-hand knowledge and augment their academic learning transacted beyond the confines of a class room, in joyful company of peer & friends. During Corona Online classes also, we have virtual field trips and this year we started with kindergarten. In upcoming months, we are organising for gr 1- 10.

Innovative Class –sharing best practices. It is likely said that every day is learning day in one’s life. Each and every day we all learn different things in different ways we are performing our day to day life chores. We do things differently as each and every person has its own ways, thoughts to present the topics differently. All of use wants to do things in an innovative way. “Innovative means keeping yourself educated about the new trends and technology in education. For e.g. now a days in many school we see STEM program is being introduced where children get a chance. An open platform to explore and innovate something new. Innovate Learning is process of creating an atmosphere where students learn about new things, regularly, question item and think of new ideas on their own . Innovative in education promotes critical thinking sense of adventure, openness to adopt. Every teacher uses different learning techniques when working with students and some one more effective than others. Keeping most innovative classroom ideas in mind, you’ll be are to determine what active learning approach would work best for yourself as a teacher or your students. 1.

Use a “Learning by doing “approach. The “ learning by doing “ approach is a form of active learning that encourages students to willingly participate in what is being thought many students learn best when they are integrated into the lesson , rather than sitting on the side-lines and losing focus some benefits are like one- on-one with the teacher , more collaboration with other students.

Encourage students to write on the glass board : It isn’t always easy for students to feel comfortable with writing on the glass board. But encouraging such activates in the classroom builds up the confidence level, active participation and develops teaching skills of the child.

Use of Effective Classroom seating arrangement. •

Rectangular benches: These make for excellent group discussion among the class when students are to face each other directly it makes it much easier to have productive discussions.

U shaped lay out. This shape will create a sense of unity among the students, allow every one it be seen and heard and create a space for physical activities to take place.

Circular arrangement: A circular shape is best for class discussion and allows the teacher to stand in the middle and work with students individually when needed.

Encourage collaborative learning approach ; A collaborative approach promotes a collaborative attitude that will continue past their studies, teaching collaborative approach will remain a useful skill throughout their future carers as teamwork.

Incorporate a reward system. Reward system is wonderful way to create an active learning environment by giving or getting their reward will be more motivated to learn and tap into their creativity.

Chameleon eyes are smiling at you…………………. It is a universal truth that life won’t be always smooth according to our plans. But we can make the life easy going if we change according to the situation. Like this way a teacher can change this world and make it wonderful with her magical eyes.

It is said that children are not the things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded. So, a teacher plays a major role in unfolding a child. How can teacher be so simple to child? Shall she able to maintain a balance relationship with a child without giving any punishment? Let’s think! Yes of course, a teacher can be simple and maintain good relationship with a child without giving any punishment. It is through the eye contact that can be so simple. We know that eyes are the keys to heart. Hence a teacher can control the whole class with an eye contact. Children always try to imitate and learn from elders, especially from a teacher. Sometimes we know the children are influenced by their favourite teachers. Every teacher used to love and care to the students. It is said that teachers used to keep their students close to their hearts. With a beautiful smile and an eye contact the teacher gives positive energy to the whole class. Children’s minds are like a shining star. A teacher goes deep into their mind and observes the light that shines over there. If she finds the light of darkness in the minds of children, a teacher uses to spread the lamp of brightness to them.

Every child is under the circumference of the teacher’s eye contact. She observes them keenly and mould them and make them the best in the world When a teacher makes an eye contact, she is actually talking to the child and expressing her emotions and happiness. Every teacher should have an eye of a chameleon. Through these eyes she should observe the children express all her idea to them.

After a break of 2 years of offline schooling, I was little worried on how my daughter would feel going back to school. But from the very first day, she was happy and enthusiastic to go to school. We are satisfied with the preventive measures taken by the school management post covid times. Her class teacher Ashwini ma’am is a very matured and efficient person who helps kids to learn and encourages kids in academics and extra-curricular activities. VGS, Arakere has efficient team of teachers who understand and nurture kids. My daughter enjoys her class and school. She is very happy to see her friends back and learn together with them. The principal of the school, Mrs. Vasundhara takes care of the school and guides the children in the right direction. The way she addresses our queries and concerns is amazing. She is anytime reachable. My daughter enjoys her school and finds the classes interesting. She is so excited to participate in all CCA. She has become more disciplined and responsible.
