Laser-cut metal name tag (Merv) When making this name tag, I measured the length but cut it slightly too short, so I made it shorter than it was meant to be. I filed the corners down into the lovely curves that they are. Then I sanded it down. I then designed the name to put on the name tag. I put the name Merv and my phone number on it. The mistake I made was I cut the name tag too short when than what I measured it, so I just worked with what I had.

The tools I used to help make the name tag are a saw, file, duck tape, Sharpe, laser cutter, salt water, power suplet

Barn Star When making the barn, I made many mistakes with the angle of the tabs, not being the same. So I had to get them to the same. The other mistake was forgetting to put the hanging thing on it before painting. And the other one was the angel, for the points were all different and went from 70 degrees to 110 degrees. And the last one was when spot welding, some of the welds were in the wrong spot, so had to pull them off and put them in the correct spot. I then painted it a dark blue using 2 layers of spray paint.

The tools I used to make the barn star are Magna bend, Stray paint, Guillotine, and the spot welder.

What I learnt I learnt how to make a name tag from just a piece of metal and how to engrave a metal name tag using the volts and salty water. The salty water with the volts when it makes the bubbles, and the swirls are pretty cool to watch. The water turns to a different colour and slowly engraves what you have laser cut off the duck tape. I learnt how to make a barn star by cutting off the metal, bending the tabs and sticking them together.
