KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA NO -2 DHANBAD
NEWSLETTER 2021-22 PRIMARY SECTION
SHRI. D. P. PATEL Dy.Commissioner KVS, Ranchi Region
It is heartening to note that Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2 Dhanbad is releasing its Newsletter for exhibiting the talents of its students and staff. I convey my appreciation to principal, staff and students of the Vidyalaya. Today's students are not expected to gather knowledge that encompasses the prescribe syllabus but should extend the horizon of learning by acquiring new skills or hone up the skills already with them through extracurricular activities which provide enough opportunities to sharpen these skills essential for practical life. Newsletter is one of the media through which they can express their thoughts, imagination and creative thinking to enlighten the external world which will benefit the readers in developing and lateral thinking. It also provides opportunity for the children to fine tune their creative skills which will boost their self confidence. I compliment young minds who have contributed so enthusiastically for this lively publication and also complement the members of the staff and principal for their efforts to motivate so I to bring out the best from their students. I wish all the students teachers the newsletter committee and the principal all the success for all their endeavors.
From the Principal’s Desk: "Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations" -
Bob Beauprez
Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society. At Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Dhanbad we provide an atmosphere to our students for multifaceted development, where children are encouraged to channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence. This can only be possible in a holistic, student-centric environment. The talents, skills, and abilities of each student need to be identified, nurtured, and encouraged so that s(h)e is able to reach greater heights. Students need to be provided with a platform to think, express, and exhibit their skills. It is necessary to empower them to negotiate several issues that confront them, with the teacher being a facilitator.

At Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Dhanbad our approach to learning is child centric encouraging Activity based learning and inculcating a scientific temper and a spirit of free enquiry. In our curriculum the student is the primary focus and each child is involved in the learning process. We are constantly improving our teaching methodology so that it turns learning into combination of classroom study, research and scientific discovery. I am confident enough that the students of our school will make themselves stronger day by day, adding a new leaf to the grandeur of the school. We wish all you a very rewarding and successful experience in reading this newsletter.
From the Head Mistress’ Desk: Parents, students and the school authorities are a team and complement each other’s efforts. Education is not just a process of giving knowledge for a future job but for a lifelong process which creates an understanding of moral and ethical vguide one’s life and make our students the future hope of the country. We feel very happy to be a part of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Dhanbad. We are serving here true to our potential to transform the young ones into a potential source of knowledge, energy and strength. A dedicated team of teachers, administrative staff, aware and cooperative parents and a management imbued with great vision, form a unified team making endeavours to achieve the above. A student who is taught discipline will learn the power of self-control. Freedom, to be truly effective, needs the guidance of discipline. To be successful, we need self-discipline which teaches us to sacrifice individual interest in favour of group interest.
MRS. MADHURI MISHRA
A large part of child’s active life is spent in the school. However, every child gets her/his emotional stability from the parents. It is the parent’s attitude that a child absorbs and the interest and time that parents invest in children, is crucial for their development. We wish all you a very rewarding and successful experience in reading this newsletter.
