SUSTAINABILITY STARTS AT GILMORE & ASSOCIATES, INC. Sustainability has been a core value of G&A’s design dating back to the last century. We integrated this value into our work by creating low-impact designs aimed at sustainability, conservation and preservation. Throughout the years our methods have changed and progressed with the advancement of technology and information. Decades later, when our world is highlighting sustainability within our environment, we are continuing to be innovative yet fiscally responsible with our plans and design.
Convenient location to the Authority •
Our Langhorne office is 6 miles away and our New Britain office is only 12 miles away
Extensive Authority consulting experience Flexible schedule to assist the Authority
G&A has engineers and landscape architects who are LEED® accredited professionals and have a thorough understanding of environmentally responsible designs. Sustainability is not just for the design and construction phases of projects. G&A’s field staff follow the USEPA’s Green Remediation Best Management Practices (BMP) to help reduce energy use, air pollution, water use, and waste generation during site investigations and remediation activities. G&A’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) include provisions for limiting mobilizations, ground penetrating radar surveys to limit site disturbance, use of direct push drilling, low-flow groundwater sampling, and incorporation of in-situ monitoring devices. Each of these procedures is in-line with the EPA’s core elements of Green Remediation BMPs.
We have a successful track record in assisting municipalities and municipal authorities with grant writing. G&A has obtained over $95 million in grant funds for our clients. Our grant writing projects are specifically tailored to each funding source’s requirements. We allow clients as much or as little input into the writing process as they desire. Having designed and implemented many grant-funded projects, we understand the way agencies award grants and financial assistance. We emphasize the value of each project to the community and the significant changes to the people it will directly benefit.
We have years of success securing county, state, federal, and private funding for a broad range of municipal needs including: • Planning • Design • Feasibility Studies • Transportation • Stormwater Management • Potable Water Systems • Sanitary Sewer Systems • Recreation Facilities • Streetscape Improvements • Sustainability Improvements

Croydon Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion Croydon, PA | Ongoing
G&A provided design and continues to provide construction oversight for Bristol Township's Croydon wastewater treatment plant expansion from a 2.25 MGD facility to a 3.75 MGD facility. The hydraulic capacity is also being expanded from 3.0 MGD to 5.0 MGD. Expansion includes construction of a third final clarifier, a second chlorine contact tank, a scum pump/pit, and a splitter box, as well as modifications to the grit building and associated yard piping. In addition to site, geotechnical, water resource, and structural design work, the wastewater treatment plant is located on a former landfill and therefore there are many environmental impacts that continue to be identified and require remediation.
