October 2022 What great work we are doing together! So proud of JTS! As many of you have heard me say time and again, “Life is not a straight line.” However, I firmly stand behind the vantage point that the zigs and the zags always create new opportunities despite and alongside the challenges. We have celebrations! The closing of new clients (Welcome Eastland Memorial Hospital), the continued growth of other clients (Ballad Health, Mason Health), the daily contributions from each of you who serve consistent clients, and the quite long list of potential clients in progress! Your individual and combined effort and expertise each day is greatly appreciated and celebrated as we improve the outcomes for each of our clients. Additionally, we formally launched our new FinTech Service line this month! Check out our news release here. This is an exciting new service line that is supported by our current nCREAS™ platform creating financial liquidity. JTS can take on this new initiative due to the expertise and knowledge our team has internally across the revenue cycle arena. Stay tuned for more information! Another cause for celebration! We released our first SEO focused blog this month called Denial Management in Medical Billing: The Ultimate Guide. Leslie and 3 members of the EBO Team (Donna, Mindy, & Samantha) did a great job writing and publishing this article with the support of our web services team to increase visibility to our RCM service line. The leaves will be turning this month which reminds us that Change is a constant. Our flexibility is what sets us apart and how we adjust and embrace the changes, even when the change is not immediately our desired choice is key. As we say goodbye for now to Abner Brignoni as he makes the needed changes due to pressing and ongoing family commitments, we wish him well. You will receive an Eyemed ID card in the mail, but members can also go to Eyemed to retrieve ID cards and benefits information at https:// member.eyemedvisioncare.com/member/en.

Privacy & Security Security in Time of a Health or Life Crisis? Most of us have experienced a health crisis or loss of a loved one. It really does not matter if you were given some warning, the time comes and there are communication or knowledge needs that person holds that we forgot to acquire. Personal information, for previous generations, were all found in the filing cabinet or perhaps a safe. Now, they are all in electronic forms to be accessed with knowledge of the account and passwords to access them. For those of us using a password vault, this can be a valuable asset for your loved one to handle your affairs if needed. LastPass has an Emergency Access process that can allow your loved one to request access to your vault, should you ever need it. Check out the LastPass Emergency Access feature and see if it is right for you.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month October is HIPAA training and Cybersecurity Town Hall Month. Additionally, each employee has small homework assignment: Update Your Home Router! Depending on your internet service provider, you can either Google for update directions (Xfinity’s are rather clear as long as you know how to get into your admin area ). If instructions are not online, give them a call and have them walk you through any available updates. Read here to see how to keep data flowing in and out of your internet connection continuously safe. 1. Is your router OLDER than 5 years? Consider a replacement. It will improve your security, speed, and accessibility. Mike will make router recommendations in the Town Hall if you like. 2. A survey will come your way following the Town Hall. On this survey, you will be asked to provide confirmation of this assignment. Please schedule a minute on your calendar to take care of this important task!
