Beetles Beetles are some of the first animal pollinators. They feed on pollen and flower parts. Flowers that rely on beetle pollination are white to green produce lots of pollen and large bowl like petals.

Butterflies Larvae eat plant vegetative.Adults have straw like mouth parts to drink nectar. Flowers attractive to butterflies are light red or purple making lots of nectar and have large tubular petals with large landing areas.

Flies Adult flies typically visit flowers to drink nectar.Many type of flowers attracts flies but those that specialize in fly pollination are often known to dark purple rotten smelling and shaped like a shallow funnel or trap.

Wasps The wasps are related to bees but the larvae are typically carnivorus and feed insects. Adult wasps oflen still visits flowers for nectar.

Ants Ants are wingless insects and crawl to the plants. They visit flowers for nectars and the flowers are usually small in size

Birds Humming birds rely on flower nectar.Other birds consume nectar and fruits. Flowers attractive to birds are red, orange or white in colour.

Bats More than 300 species of fruits are bat pollinated. Bat pollinated flowers opens only at night emiting strong scent and produce both pollen and nectar

Bees Bees are responsible for the diversiry in flowering plantsThey completely relay on flowers for food food in all stages of life. Flowers attractive to bees are white, blue or yellow in colour.
